I hope that the "Who else would name a kid Victoire?" comments weren't meant as insults. True, most of the other characters would probably be a lot less likely to select the name, and it's pretty obvious who she is--but she has a great name, which is certainly not all that strange by magical standards.

I think the name Victoire is a far better name than Ginevra.

It was obvious even before JKR confirmed it. A French name is more likely to be chosen by a French mother. And given that she was kissing Teddy in the epilogue, it'd make more sense for her to be the child of the pair who are already together and married.
