I'm puzzled by this article. Its author claims to love the HP books while at the same time, some details in the article cast doubts whether she had really read them or not. When you write such a piece, you first get your facts right (there had been a female Minister for Magic, it's Kreacher not Creacher, etc.)

Some of the comments were much more inspired. It's possible to have a such a reading of the HP books (I did it myself). But I'm afraid she drew the wrong conclusions after applying one set of values (ours) to a world entirely different from ours. Which happens a lot when we are confronted to a different universe/culture. We hang on to what we know. And many things we know and hold dear and for certain, depend only on our personal, subjective point of view.

At least she mentioned Alan's sexy voice...
