No. I think it could work. Maybe other scenes between Snape and Lily should be a little longer because they are plus important, but still. It shows Snape and James' relationship and how that whole thing started. Maybe they could shorten it a tad so that they could really build on other parts of the movie, but still. They shouldn't just leave it out, I don't think.
It wouldnt be horrible if they did.They left her out in OOTP,but that might be because it would have been way obvious. Those memory scenes must be tricky.They cant be too long ou too short ou they wont have as great an impact,and then they have to decide what gets cut,what gets extended.Loads of pressure from people expecting to bawl in the theater (yes,me)
