Does it matter? The real question is which livres has plus indepth, developed characters with real personalities that toi actually care about. And whilst it would take me a long time to figure that one out for Harry Potter (I mean, besides Harry, Hermione, Ron, Dumbledore, Snape, Sirius - toi could argue Voldemort, but because i l’amour him so much (and i'm not being sarcastic) I would argue that he must have different- wait, i'm getting distracted. Anyway.) I know the exact number for Twilight: One. Jacob. And even that is WIDELY contended.

lets get this straight, that harry potter liste is the liste of every character NOT all the main characters. some of those names have only been mentioned par another character and arent actually in it! i would say main characters:

twilight : edward, bella, jacob

carslile, alice, renesmee (in BD), charlie

Harry potter: Harry, ron, hermione

dumbledore, snape, voldemoert, sirius

well ovbis that its twliight it is better and thers edward defo bella defo ,charlie,alice,jasper,jacob,and billy ,mike ,ben,anglea and then theres hp mains harmorine ron harry the big fat guy and dumbel dore duh twlight has plus and there way defo better lokkin lol

HP main characters: Harry, Hermione, Ron, Luna, Neville, Ginny, Fred, George, Draco, Dumbledore, Snape, Lupin, Sirius, Tonks, Molly, Arthur, Vernon, Petunia, Dudley, etc.
Total: 19+

Twilight main characters: Bella, Edward, Jacob. The Twihards will yell at me if I don't put in the rest of the Cullens(even though they obviously don't count since they are forgotten half the time.)
Total: 9

To me, that's obviously a win for Harry Potter fans.

And don't give me crap that half these characters aren't in all the books. Just because a character isn't in all the books doesn't mean they're not a main character.
Example: In Maximum Ride(cuz it could pwn HP and Twilight in it's sleep), Ari dies half-way through the series, but that doesn't mean he still didn't play an improtant part while he was alive!

I dont think anyone would argue that twilight has plus characters because obviously it doesn't. HArry Potter had plus characters than twilight from the beginning. Why does it matter anyway though who has plus characters??? HArry POtter is better regardless of how many characters it has.

Harry Potter has plus main characters than Twilight does, and it also has plus global, ensemble characters than Twilight.

MDR half those arnt MAIN MAIn if toi only think bella edward and jacob are main then only herminone,ron and harry and ginny and people like that are main MAIn characters are characters in all ou most scenes so really half those are not main and the cullens, the loup pack,renesme and charlie are bassicly main they are in every scene almost
