Why do toi think the police a dit they found nearly all the bodies in the fire?

I'm not really sure, I guess they found blood samples of everyone after the church was burned down so they just assumed they all burned in the fire... they did say they found John Wakefield's body though and that he was burned but they were still able to identify him even though he wasn't burned in the fire? And the others I'm not sure about

Cause they proberly did find all the bodies in the church
