Andy was leaning over his work table, checking the groundplan of a building plan. Some changes needed to be made. He had to give this building plan to his mentor. If he didn’t he could fail his internship and that was about the last thing he wanted.
The problem was that he couldn’t stop thinking about Shannen. God, she’d made him so angry. He was so deep in thought he didn’t hear the knocking on the open door.
“Hey, Andy”
Andy looked up and saw the assistant of the manager standing in the doorway.
“What’s up? Big man needs a one on one with me?” Andy asked.
“The cops are here” the assistant said.
“What? Why?” Andy asked surprised.
“You can ask them yourself” the assistant said. She rotated her head. “He’s in here, toi guys”
A minute later two inspectors entered the office.
“Inspector Anderson, this is my colleague inspector Lee” inspector Anderson said, while both held up their ID’s. “We’d like to ask toi some questions”
“Yeah, okay” Andy said, having no clue of what was going on. He looked at the assistant.
“Would toi like some coffee?” she asked. They refused and she left, closing the door.
“That is not going to look good on his résumé” she mumbled.
Inspector Anderson pulled out a photo and put it on the table. “Do toi know this girl?”
“Of course, that’s Shannen White, my girlfriend” Andy said.
Inspector Anderson pulled out another photo and put it over the first one. “Do toi still recognize her?”
It was a photo of Shannen lying between garbage bags. Her head was bashed in and blood was mixed with her hair and covered half of her face.
“Andy-I can call toi Andy, right?-where were toi last night?”

Eminem kreeg op het gala in New York vandaag de prijs van Artiest van het jaar. rapide, swift werd voor haar hit "I Knew toi Were Trouble" bekroond tot YouTube-fenomeen van het jaar. De award voor Video van het jaar ging naar de Zuid-Koreaanse meidengroep Girls' Generation en hun song "I Got A Boy". Deze outsiders laten daarmee zwaargewichten als Lady Gaga of Justin Bieber achter zich. De eerste winnaars van het online-videoplatform werden gekozen via een stemming op het internet. De prijsuitreiking was rechtstreeks te volgen op YouTube. Het platform is de voorbije jaren onmisbaar geworden voor de muzieksector, ten koste van klassieke spelers als MTV.
