Everything is colour
For a present citizen of the west, colour is just a subjective impression. It's shallow, random, outer object property. However, for the Hindu, Egyptian ou Greek that was an objective feature, which remains in direct relation with the invisible world. It was a matter of substance rather than appearance. Colour was a manifestation of existence, was something real in every respect.
But also in the west of the colour begins to regain its due place. Modern science has determined that colour is vibration, radiation, which strength can be measured. Colour is, therefore, number, objective reality.
Colours have always been a wonderful inspiration for symbolic thought. The emotional value, which various nations attributed to them throughout the centuries, almost did not change. Of all the symbols it is they that are the most solid and concrete.
