toi know, that Asian-looking girl who sometimes hangs out with Blair... but is she really Asian?
Well, her name is 'Kati' and it might sound a bit Japanese, but actually it's a Hungarian name.(Hungary is a small Eastern European country)
Her surname is 'Farkas'(source: imdb), which is also a Hungarian word. It means 'wolf'.
So the question is: why does an Asian actress (Nan Zhang) play a Hungarian character? Probably the creators thought 'Kati' must be a Japanese name LoL
But I'm really glad that I've found something Hungarian on Gossip Girl cause I'm from Hungary, too...:)

miiamya Actually, a lot of asian-american families give their children american names. Besides, in the books, Kati Farkas is not asian, but very white. It was the producers who decided to cast an asian girls as the character of kati.

szmootyi well rahma, that's the question. her name is definitely hungarian but she looks asian, kinda strange....

hellokittylove maybe the show just wanted to have a variety of races and characters in the show so they decided to have an asian girl play the character to make it more interesting

Gossip Girl Threesome Sparks PTC Complaints

The much-anticipated Gossip Girl threesome scene in suivant week's episode of the hit montrer is coming under criticism from the Parents télévision Council (PTC).

The group has released an open letter to The CW that they are objecting to the idea of such scene, which they are claiming is "reckless and irresponsible."

"Gossip Girl routinely depicts teenagers engaging in promiscuous, consequence-free sexual behavior, and that's bad enough," PTC president Tim Winter wrote.

When I a dit I wanted to see Georgina go out with a 'bang', her fantasizing about Dan wasn't really what I had in mind.

At least we know that Dan is dating a movie-star and he likes her enough to throw any other potential relationship out the door. When Blair handed her flame over to Jenny she didn't contemplate on her throwing it in the dump to burn elsewhere. The one thing Constance could tolerate was change especially the type of change Jenny delivered with that rusty speech. Really who was she kidding?
