I think people had too high expectations. I personally l’amour this season, but I'll admit that the first episode was a disappointment because... well, not much happened.
But I'm liking most of the characters now, and I think they've set up some interesting storylines, actually. Like college, Jenny's Queen bee status and basse, bass industries (the major changes, I guess). I don't see why people are complaining, to be honest... maybe it feels less like GG now that high school is over, but it doesn't bother me at all.
One thing I hate about season 3 is the fashion, though. Especially on Blair, her style is nothing like it was in season 1. But other than that, I don't have anything to complain over...

Wow, I'm rambling. The end. :)

Honestly...I can't stand this season. I agree with Mel though I should've know that after season 2 it was just going to get worse. I mean I use to l’amour Blair and now I just find her annoying. I use to be a die hard Chair fan and now they're just whatever to me because of the way Blair treats Chuck, I think he could do so much better. But I have enjoyed Carter, Georgina and Chuck thus far and hopefully this season will get better before I just stop watching GG all together.

It was kind of dissapointing at the beginning because mainly, yeah I was expecting more.
But since episode 3 I've gotten higher hopes.
I think it's looking global, ensemble pretty good so far - it could get better though. Which I'm sure it will too.

I was expecting a lot more.
...or was I? Considering Season Two was where it started going downhill and I realized that somewhere during the beginning of that season.

IDK, Season One GG will always, for me, be the best montrer ever. I loved it.

Now it's so much more... shallow. It plays plus to what the media wanted it to be, ultra glamorous and over the haut, retour au début and totally ridiculous, resulting in it mostly just being OTT and ridiculous, in my opinion.

I'll always watch GG and probably always consider it my favori montrer because of how it used to be, but I do feel that it's kind of awful nowadays.

My favori character, Blair, I now find shallow, underlayered, farcial and vaguely annoying at times... probably because people that barely watched the montrer but reported on it wanted her to be a psycho funny bitch, which wasn't the side of her that first intrigued me.

IDK, this season, I guess I like them using Serena more, because in the first season she was my seconde favorite, seconde season I despised her, so now it's nice that I like her a lot again.

However, other than that... I just don't feel positive about the season at all.

The first episode was a huge dissapointment, so boring. The 2nd episode I enjoyed, and the last one was okay, nothing special. But to be honest, I've been getting bored with GG since S2 started going downhill for me. Now, its just a montrer I watch for entertainment only, nothing else really.

I actually think it's overdone at the moment. They need to tone it all down, stop with trying to make it ALL hilarious, stop trying to make it 'glamorous', stop with the OMFGs, and focus on the actual characters.

i was pretty disappointed with the first couple of episodes, there was a lack of substance to it and there's still no indication of long term storylines. The first 2 episodes seemed like just a collection of scenes put together. Nate was just stuck in randomly, jenny was hardly there, so basically the season didn't start of pretty good. But the 3rd episode had a lot of potential and i really enjoyed it, also the spoilers of the coming episode seem promising too with Jenny back at high school so seeing plus gossip girl blasts will make it plus interesting. I do think the gossip girl character is what makes the montrer plus interesting so they really need to stick with the gossip blasts to stir things up. Loving the grown up chuck but would l’amour to see plus chuck and blair joint scheming and plus serena recklessness! Nate needs plus than just another l’amour story, maybe he can get caught up in something illegal with Carter and have to be saved par Chuck...?

This question has been asked many times; I'm still not sure on my opinion for this. The first epsiode kind of lacked a bit to me :P
Chuck and Blair seemed akward with each other; Serena was jouer la comédie cryptic (although I l’amour her wih Carter); Vanessa and Dan's fight was stupid; and Nate was just...there.
However, being the crazy-obsessed fangirl I am, I kept faith.
The seconde epsiode was much better (:
Everything, from the CB lit scene, to Blair vs. Georgie, to "Good Girls Go Bad" playing in the background, to businessman-sexy Chuck, was great :D
The third episode was best so far :]
It was so funny and awesome...
I know that GG will keep up it's high name and continue to be ah-mazing with the suivant upcoming episodes...can't wait! ;D

i think us GG fans ou probably other people had too much of a high expectations for season 3..
i miss bitchy blair but i l’amour chair couple..
also nate has gotten much plus boring than he was in season 2 and 1..jennyy i think had only a line in ep3 and eric he was just smiling there..
serena is all goody goody now..
but i still l’amour the show..probably beacuse of chair couple..but then again they aren't in high school anymore..no catfights over being the Queen even though blair always won..no sex in the back of the limo..also what's up with bree?
she like popped outta nowhere..scott and vanessa god they get on my nerves don't know why..
anyway i l’amour chair YAY!
