Jon Snow filming with main characters in Basque Country! MAJOR SPOILERS! 

Filming in Spain continues uninterrupted, along the coast of the Basque Country, moving from Muriola Beach in Barrika to the beautiful islet of Gaztelugatxe. Despite the tight security measures, the local press has taken some revealing photographs of what’s going on in there. Those closely following spoilers in the last few weeks will not be incredibly surprised, yet it is still shocking to witness these characters colliding. Undoubtedly, the main star of this scene is Kit Harington —Jon Snow. But he is not alone!

we get the comparatively innocuous sight of the cast and crew enjoying some Basque cuisine. Showrunnes and writers David Benioff and D.B. Weiss were accompanied by some of their talent in Bilbao’s

restaurant: Liam Cunningham (Davos Seaworth), Kit Harington (Jon Snow), Peter Dinklage (Tyrion Lannister) and someone else who would be quite a surprise if we hadn’t learnt about it already —Joe Dempsie, who plays Gendry, returning to the show after a long absence.

Now, off to the real deal, which yet again comes to us by the grace of

, who apparently employ the stealethiest reporters and best zoom equipment around, because what they got here was even more impressive than the Muriola reports. At first glance the pictures are not

revealing, which is why one of them appears above with no spoiler alert: Jon Snow, dressed much more fancily than we have ever previously seen him, walking down the path with his foremost

Their surroundings may be a dead giveaway of what is strange with this picture —It does not look like the North. And that is because it is not. The other pictures show us Missandei, played by Nathalie Emmanuel, along with Unsullied and Dothraki:

This confirms the rumor that Jon will travel south with his companions, probably to Dragonstone. Emilia Clarke was nowhere to be seen, much to the frustration of everyone who just wants to see Queen Daenerys in a red and black dress already, yet it is now difficult to imagine that the two monarchs will not meet in season seven. Hopefully, when filming moves to Zumaia’s Itzurun Beach on Monday, we will get a glimpse of the historic meeting between Daenerys Stormborn and Jon Snow.

She’s definitely inside the building. Why would the dothrakis and Missandei be there ? Also look at the canvas panels blocking the sunlight from the outside in. Considering how much everyone has been trying to hide Emilia in he past few days, I wouldn’t be surprised if they waited till the cover of darkness to actually leave the set in order to not be seen.

Also Emilia recently liked a photo on instagram of her and Kit of some dude who said he was honoured to have the two of them film together.

This will be the most iconic encounter in TV history in the past few years.

Wow! It’s finally happening. How exciting it is that these two groups are finally meting. I can’t wait to how it all plays out. I think it’ll be very “business like” at first. These two have a lot of other things they need to take care of.

I’ve run out of ways to say how exited I am so now I’m just going to be like:cool lol.I’ve Been waiting for the two of them to meet since 2011.Good thing I have a year to prepare myself and not freak out when I see it.You know how people kept saying there is no time for Jon and Dany and develop something in six episodes.Well they had it all planned out and are not loosing any time.This is gonna be good.I also love that he has Davos with him.I love them together.I wonder where Tormund is.Probably in the north somewhere making eyes at Brienne.And imagine Jon and tyrion meeting after so long.

Yeah, she’s around. But I have a feeling they could film Dany/Jon scenes only in studio at first in order to prevent the leaks.

I think Emilia and Kit are going to have great chemistry looking at off screen interactions.They must be so exited.They always wanted to film together.And regarding her outfits imagine how good she will look in black and red.I can’t wait to see it.I also want her to have less elaborate hairstyles.She looks so good with her hair down

It is certainly exciting to see Jon somewhere without snow for a change, and it is exciting to see him meeting up with other main characters in the South. His outfit is also interesting, it is more refined than what he has worn before. In one picture it almost looked like the Targaryen sigil, but it is obviously two direwolfs facing each other.

I could see that these scenes will perhaps take place a bit later in the season.

I can also fully understand why some people are a bit apprehensive about Jon and Dany meeting up. People were quite excited last season when Jon and Sansa finally met up, people really wanted to see a Stark reunion. But unfortunately it just lead to some bad writing, and characters development suffered as a result of the bad writing. In light of last season it is obvious why some people might be apprehensive about this meeting between Dany and Jon.

But Dany and Jon meeting up is a really big thing, so I hope they they really try to do it justice.

I think you’re 100% correct, I’ve read that the two have already switched three hotels to prevent them from being seen together and also that they’ll be shooting under the cover of darkness in Gatzelugatxe and at the Dragonstone beach as well, they’re hiding Emilia like she’s a national treasure which is understandable haha, they’ve already let so many things about season 7 get out, they won’t let her and Kit be seen together anytime soon since it will be the single biggest thing to ever happen on this show.

Of course Idk if the info is accurate but I read somewhere that filming in Zumaia could happen during the night. They could have a scene together there then.

I think I read that the night scene they want to film is an arrival scene. So either it’s Dany arriving or Jon. Considering that what they are filming now looks like Jon’s arrival at Dragonstone, maybe the night scene in Zumaia will be Dany’s landing.

It seems they took their weapons, so trust is not exactly yet reached.

Why wedding thing? Theon wore same thing when visiting Iron Islands as part of Robb’s envoy. Balon made fun of it that he’s dressed like a wolf. Diplomatic missions requires to be dressed more fancy.

This was what I thought too. What is the point of hiding Emilia when you are hiring so many Dothraki/ Unsullied extras? It would be quite obvious that Dany scenes are being filmed here. All those people who have met the actors, and more, said they were trying to find her as well. I know because I spoke with some, who met the actors also in different locations.

Not really, Dany could be in a number of locations, starting with Dorne and ending with the Iron Islands, even though we know she’s in Spain and her being separated from her squad wouldn’t make sense. But they are not shooting in chronological order. Just the other day we saw Tyrion discussing with two Golden Cloaks, Gendry and Davos so he must’ve been in King’s Landing. So how come they are at Dragonstone now ? They’re shooting it like this so they confuse the fans, remember Sibel Kekilli appeared on the S6 set and everyone thought she was coming back just so D&D could mess with us. Jon could just be meeting with Tyrion, Varys & Co to discuss politics and the fate of the North.

But where Dany goes, Missandei goes (except when she’s not kidnapped by dothrakis or flown by Drogon in the middle of nowhere)

But I am 99% certain she is shooting inside the church as we speak, way too many people there and way too much protection on the windows. I am counting on fans to take some photos of her there in the next 24-48 hours.

We also have to remember that we are only a small portion of the audience. Most of people won’t make all the associations we make when we read about leaks, photos, etc. but a Dany/Jon photo IS something very huge and has much more obvious implications than what we have been discussing here.

I doubt Emilia would want to be hidden. If she is in fact being hidden, I assume the decision was taken by other people associated with the show.

I guess I feel makes more sense to have tried to keep Kit hidden instead of Emilia. With all those extras being cast, I assume most of the locals would already be expecting Dany scenes to be filmed there.

I think Javi from L7R had mentioned that they had actually booked multiple hotels for both Kit and Emilia so as to ensure they are not hounded by fans. Maybe Kit being spotted the very minute he exited the airport spoiled all their plans, who knows

Good to see the KITN at a warmer location. It makes one realize we are coming to the end of the series, which is sad. I am so looking forward to the interactions that will be taking place. Let’s have Jon and Dany team up, kick Cersei and Euron’s asses and then defeat the WW.

It’s kinda suspicious that it’s filmed at some church but probably some indoor scene of different manner.

Why would Jon be involved in war against Cersei? Marching with his army? Main threat is up in the North and he can’t split their forces. Negotiations for white walkers might totally separated rom what is going on in King’s Landing. Jon is to protect interests of the North.

She normally wouldn’t, I just raised another possibility because really I don’t see why they would try to hide her. Like in NI… she stayed there for four weeks and only one person took a photo with her, indoors, and it was someone who seems to work with celebrities. So it’s very strange.

Very interesting this development of the Tyrion, Davos, Gendry scene being part of episode 5.

I would think that Jon would arrive at Dragonston by the end of episode 3. Do whatever negotiations and work on a plan in episode 4 and put that plan (whatever it is) into place throughout episode 5.

Maybe Gendry is introduced earlier in the season, perhaps legitimize by Dany. He might then be part of whatever mission Tyrion and Davos are part of.

Or Winterfell scenes are later on but probably would bet more on earlier. Just hope, Jon is not at Dragonstone for most of the season, he’s got business elsewhere too. That would be like being at Winterfell for whole season doing nothing. Meeting Dany is fine but instead ove hearty eyes at each other, want to see some progess on front with white walkers.

To protect the interests of the North he needs the 7K united. He knows that as long as Cersei sits at the throne, the 7K will stay divided. Besides, Jon would never negotiate with a Lannister, they are the responsible for his entire family being butchered. An alliance between the North and the Lannisters is ridiculous at this point.

I know. But intervene in war between Cersei and Dany is not the wisest move. His forces must be at the North for white walkers invasion. He can negotiate with Dany or others but that’s about it. Besides, Dany has already three dragons and army to take care of Cersei and her forces. Jon should be more about white walkers than this.

D&D has given us the best quality show on television for YEARS, and now a nobody with zero proof to back up his story comes up with that fanfic of spoilers and we are all friking out and taken his word as sacred. Maybe he could find some book or read about him. There is plenty of history at Dragonstone and he seems to be there for a few episodes. Especially, since Rhaegar is supposed to be or should be focus of next season as another part of his parentage. We got Lyanna explained but then Rhaegar should be too. That doesn’t mean romance. It might mean husbands, as other two seems to be Drogo and Hizdar as far show is concerned. She wasn’t exactly in love with Hizdar. I found Silver, Drogon and Ghost to be more fitting but then Ghost is not exactly accustomed for riding.

Yeah, I get your point, but why would he stayed at the North when he knows they can not defeat the WW on their own? If he stays and doesn’t negotiate with Dany they are doomed. They need all the forces they can get, and in order to get them maybe Dany would ask him to join her against the Lannister. He knows tis all or nothing at this point, why would he stay on the bench? To prolong the inevitable doom for a little longer?

Geralt of Rivia, If he wants to ask Dany for her armies / involvement, wouldn’t giving her a wee bit of help first be simply good politics? (Not that I think that he’ll give her much except lending Davos a bit. I don’t see him taking large armies to Dragonstone.)

I’ll speculate. People complained last season that nobody stood up to Cersei.

So how about a populist movement in King’s Landing, led by the remains of the Sparrows, but centered around a bastard of King Robert? There are historical examples of that; also cf. book Aegon. The people involved may not even believe that he is a real son of Robert, just want someone to gather around!

okay sansa(or bran) must be in Winterfell when Jon leaves. There’s always be a stark in Winterfell. Assuming sansa is with Baelish(I hate this man)

I would think that most of the winterfell scenes would be filmed a little later when it’s colder and snowy. Winter is hitting hard there first.

I understand and agree with you that he needs to negotiate with her, travel and do some politics. He’s not very good at it but he can try to persuade her. But don’t think Dany with her massive army would require Northerners to march and nor Jon would agree to it would be stupid move on his part. Ice zombies are marching on the Wall and there is where true enemy lies.

Why? She’s plenty capable with her huge army to take care of Cersei. Besides, logistics behind this, marching south and then back north. Leaving them exposed like Robb did. Jon is obviously coming to ask her for assistance against white walkers and can make alliance that in exchange he’ll swear fealty and she helps or do what she can. Marching south and then white walkers breaching the Wall would mke Jon look stpid, intervene in southern wars. I understand politics, to try negotiate deal for ice zombies invasion.

I think the key to the first meeting between Jon and Danni will be Tyrion. He and Jon met and spent considerable time together in season One while headed for the Wall. The two of them built up a decent amount of mutual respect during that time. It’s definitely worth going back over those scenes while waiting for season Seven.

Btw I fucking knew it when they were insisting on the Jon/Sansa drama they were misdirecting.Since when do they give away plot points it was weird.

I was thinking the same thing. Sansa is def. up North with possibly Arya/Lady Mormount/Bran? I don’t think she would be QITN if Kit is talking marriage to Dany as KITN but as Lady Stark. The only issue I have is… where is LF. Alone with Sansa in WF? I do not like that, because if anything shady happens I think Arya would shut it down….and now that she can be anyone….damn IDK. I hope that the two sisters work together against LF because if Sansa sides with him I don’t think it will go well.

So D&D almost ruined the KitN scene with their comments about how sansa wasn’t happy with Jon’s proclamation, just to misdirect us, eh? D&D’s antics never seize to amaze me. Yes. I don’t understand all this talk of Jon bending the knee in exchange of Dany’s help. People are making it look like this only Jon’s problem when it’s in fact everyone’s problem, especially Dany’s since she wants to rule Westeros so badly. Hi! I think that the flower doesn’t exactly set it up for romance but it was giving Dany the imagery of the blue winter rose that is essential to the story of Rhaegar and Lyanna. And I’m pretty sure that when Dany had this vision in the books Jon was still at the wall. Blue winter roses are essential to Jon’s story because, well that was the story of his very existence. Filling the air with sweetness could just be that she actually has family left. I mean what could be sweeter than finding out that you have a nephew that is alive after you thought for years that you were alone in the world. And he’s your age on top of it! That would make me ecstatic! Sweet someone to hang out with!

Yes she does believe she is alone in the world and the validation of lyanna and rhaegars love is also a thought i had when i read the books. Jon’s whole existence is due to this love. Also there are many types of love. Family love, romantic love, parent child love, friendship.

We’ll find out what it means but like I said. If they’re going to do romance, then it’s not entirely out of nowhere unlike Jon and Sansa. Jenny, I think that people are so concerned, on both sides, because it’s the relationship between the two most important characters. So everyone wants this one their way. And it’s for the same reason that people think that a romance between these two would be a cliche. Because they are the mains. An asexual friendship between the two single mains… that’s the path less trodden, and so worth taking.

And above all, I don’t think there is some ”romance quotum” that needs to be fulfilled, is there? There are zombies to kill. That’s what’s important, and a romance isn’t needed for that. I think the key to the first meeting between Jon and Danni will be Tyrion.He and Jon met and spent considerable time together in season One while headed for the Wall.The two of them built up a decent amount of mutual respect during that time.It’s definitely worth going back over those scenes while waiting for season Seven.

Yep I agree about Tyrion. Him and Jon had a good rapport when he was at the wall. Tyrion was the one that taught Jon to really look at peoples circumstances before judging. Tyrion is the only reason Jon made any friends in my opinion. Jon even said “I’ll miss you Lannister” before Tyrion left the wall. I honestly cannot wait to see the interaction between them! That’s the thing about Tyrion – he is charismatic and intellectual. Seems to be able to negotiate his way out of an awful lot. It seems like the only people that really despised him were his own family (with exception of Jaime). I want to see Tyrion with Bronn again dammit!! That was my favorite duo they were hilarious!

I love how subtle George was with these hints connecting Jon and Dany, their stories are so beautifully interwoven it makes even the coldest heart melt. You’d have to be made of stone not to see how beautiful their story could be, especially if it’s played out rightfully and tastefully by the writers. No matter what their destinies have in store for them, allies, family, lovers, married, I am as excited to see those two on screen together as I have been for 6 years now, maybe even more so.

Thank you! I love speculating as much as the next fan but when it keeps going in circles about the same tired argument, it becomes tedious. We’re seeing filming unfold before our very eyes and we know where the story is going with Daenerys and Jon uniting their forces against the White Walkers. All the little political details in between seem much less important really. Their romance is even less important to me though I’m fine with it.

I look forward to their first meeting scene, it will be great to finally see these two characters with so many parallels in their life stories come together and face the coming of winter as a strong force.

It’s completely surreal for me to see Jon, Davos and Missandei in the same picture! I am beyond happy that Jon is in a non-North location, but to be actually on DRAGONSTONE, is simply AWESOME! 🙂 And dressed so well!

If Davos is going on secret missions with Tyrion by Episode 5, Jon and Davos arrive at Dragonstone before that. And Daenerys sets up base there even before that! The season will move at breakneck speed!

It’s not a reunion, it is a meeting that may one day turn into a union. But they’ve never met before and we have no point of reference on how they will react to each other past wild imaginative speculation.

I disagree. That makes Dany smart. Even if she has all intentions of helping him defeat the WW (provided Jon can convince her the threat is real) it’s good politics for her to try and get the most out of the deal to cement herself Queen of the Seven Kingdoms if they manage to survive it. It just shows she is looking beyond this threat, and is putting herself in the best position possible if they survive it.

It doesn’t mean she’s not worried about the people, or that she’ll only help if she gets something out of the deal, but she can let

We only see Jon and Davos walking down some stairs. For all we really know, Jon’s soldiers are holding/currently in Dragonstone while Dany’s wait in that building. Jon could have come south to get the dragonglass, only for everyone to be surprised by Dany’s arrival. We certainly don’t know that Jon only came south to meet Dany.

These are exterior shots – there may be interiors that feature a bigger entourage than just Davos, in which case it is possible that we would only see the remainder of Jon’s men in interior shots filmed in Belfast as the Dragonstone interior sets from previous seasons were based there.

It would seem that the two of them are taking a walk (possibly to ensure privacy) on the battlements. This is likely after their arrival, and so presumably Longclaw is in whichever chamber Jon has been given. I am assuming that this location was chosen to serve solely as an exterior for what will be the surroundings of Dragonstone.

Jon has never been one for showcasing the trappings of leadership. He changed very little in his dress etc when Lord Commander, and didn’t have anyone other than Olly serving him. His new armor is simple, yet shows that he intends to be a warrior king (the current situation requires it). Jon clearly feels that this is an alliance that must be formed in person, and that is why he has gone to Dragonstone.

The Dothtraki are wearing furs, as you can see in the new pictures. They never wore them before.

I agree somewhat. But Jon’s knowledge is only as useful as his ability to convince people of this threat. In order to convince people he’s gonna have to divulge most of this information, so I’m not sure if it’s really something he can leverage. Looking at it from the perspective of the people who have spent most of their time in the South or in Essos, the idea of white walkers (Ice Zombies basically) seems really ridiculous, even with the presence of other magical forces in the realm. Maybe Dany will be more inclined to believe him since she’s had some pretty unbelievable experiences herself.

Let’s hope it’s the case, otherwise he’s definitely not making any impression as a King and shows how reckless and foolish he can be.

I think Tyrion will be crucial to Dany believing Jon. That trip that they took together to the Wall and the friendship that they formed there has to be for a reason. I think Tyrion will know that Jon is not BSing and his belief in Jon will convince Dany, at least enough to take him seriously and not just dismiss him out of hand.

Unfortunately it looks like those of us that wish to have good discussions about things like this will always be outnumbered by those that see anything that doesn’t fit their interpretation of a character as character assassination and as such will argue with anybody else that dare’s disagree with their opinion that Jon/Dany is the main character and therefore he/she should be worshipped by every character.

Any sign that a character shows development that doesn’t agree with what they want will be met with constant arguing and bickering. It got tiring during the Jon/Sansa debates and is now beyond a joke due to the Jon/Dany debates.

This is the show, so he’ll show up with just Davos. Let’s be honest, Jon won’t get the upper hand in anything, especially when we know who he’s meeting.

Bermeo and Zumaia were announced that Jon and Davos would be the ones walking those steps three months later? It’s so great to see those two have a scene on their own again. Between this and Tyrion/Davos/Gendry yesterday, this is the first time since Season 5 that the North isn’t my most anticipated storyline.

Add me to the list of people digging Jon’s southern fashion choices. That’s about as dressy as I would hope for from a northerner in a climate where mixing and matching cloaks is no longer an option.

It’s also nice to have confirmation that yesterday’s scene took place during episode five. I’m hopeful that a few more directors will be spotted on the northern coast shoots so that we can get a clearer timeline of when Jon and Davos arrive on Dragonstone. I’m also curious to see where in Spain Gwendoline turns up, since Brienne is supposed to be appearing with Davos in at least one dragon pit scene. If she’s part of the Italica shoot but not the Basque shoots, it sounds like she heads south on her own.

It’s nice to see Kit and Liam get the opportunity to film in Spain. I’d say Kit has earned it after six seasons of filming fight scenes in the mud in Northern Ireland and freezing his face off in Iceland! And of course, the narrative implications of this journey – the fact that he’s visiting the ancient Targaryen seat once held by his father and is soon to meet the Dragon Queen – is exciting as well. As recently as a few weeks ago, I had assumed that Jon would spend most or all of Season 7 dealing with the internal politics of the North, perhaps meeting Dany in the finale. I’m not entirely sure what his departure means for Sansa and Littlefinger in the North, but I’m very intrigued by the new possibilities that this direction offers!

Missandei’s new costume looks badass. So does Jon’s, for that matter. Seven seasons in, Michelle Clapton continues to raise the bar with her brilliant work.

That piece of news about Matt Shakman directing Episode 5 is the first confirmation that we’ve had matching a director to a given episode. I know that there was an interview with Jeremy Podeswa a while back that seemed to hint that he would direct the first two episodes. That makes since, but as far as I know, it hasn’t been confirmed.

Since Shakman’s the only first-time director this season, my guess would be that he’ll be the one who only directs one episode. That could be wrong, of course, but my working guess is that Jeremy Podeswa directs Episodes 1 and 2, Mark Mylod directs Episodes 3 and 4, Shakman directs Episode 5, and Alan Taylor helms Episode 6 and 7.

The Jon/Dany marriage/alliance has been foreshadowed HEAVILY in the books and show. How can anyone be pissed off by these two BEAUTIFUL people coming together? Not to mention how painfully obvious it is the dragons need to be used against the Army of the Dead.

Davos + Gendry, Tyrion + Jon, Jamie + Tyrion. All the potential reunions hinted at in these photos/videos will be GOLDEN.

O.M.G!! Jon Snow on Dragonstone!!! I knew it was coming but, holy balls!, seeing visual evidence makes so unimaginably happy. The last 2 Targaryens, TOGETHER, at their ancestral home. I know Jon won’t know the significance of Dragonstone as it pertains to him but seeing him strolling the grounds of where Rhaegar once lived is awesome. I’m grinning like a loon, lol.

And Davos is back on Dragonstone! He spent so much time there with Stannis, how must he feel returning with a new King and meeting with the Dragon Queen.

As for Jon’s “new” outfit – I’m not seeing anything new about it, except for the metal thing around his should/neck. It’s similar to the one Robb wore in S2 (and Bran wore a similar one in WF a few times). But the rest of the outfit looks to be the same Stark armor he wore from 6×04 onward. Maybe it looks a little darker, but that could be because of the angle and the way the sunlight is hitting it. And the manbun returns!! Will we ever see the luscious curls again?

Not surprised to see Jon does not have Longclaw on him. He may be a guest of Dany but until she knows more about him (and trusts him) there’s no way she’ll allow him to wander Dragonstone with his weapon. At least Jon and Davos appear to be free to wander the grounds and interact with Missandei without restraints and armed guards; well, except for those 2 Dothraki, but they seem to be more on watch duty than Jon and Davos guard duty.

This suggests that they’re either just about to be introduced to Daenerys/Tyrion and are discussing how to approach things or they have been at this location for a while and are comfortable just wandering around the place discussing their plans.

Looks like. I don’t get too bothered by some of the things that always seem to bother other people about D&D or the show. But I must say it’s disappointing to see this Jon/Sansa tension thing they themselves wanted to keep teasing over and over and over and over and then over some more…doesn’t seem like it’s going to amount to much. Purpose of teasing that then was what?

Loving Missandei’s new costume – it looks a lot more martial (which is fitting, given that Daenerys has taken her off to war again) and given that Nathalie Emmanuel looked absolutely frozen in the final scene of 610, I am sure that it will be more suited to the Westerosi climate than her last outfit.

Meant to add earlier that Davos being there is great – of all the characters I think we will see on Dragonstone, he knows it best. Daenerys may have been born there, but Davos served Stannis there for years. And his knowledge of the island should come in useful when they start mining the place for dragonglass.

Unfortunately those leaks seem to have at least some credibility. It is a shame really, for the story to end going into full fanservice mode. Just shows you how casual fans ( who make the majority always ) and the noise they make through the social media and the internet in general, can ruin something so unique. Again, unfortunately when they started moving from the books, things went downhill. Game of Thrones became so popular because it was so different from the usual fantasy stories. Dark, twisted, full of unexpected ( for the non bookreaders ) developments.

Not true at all…the one thing he is against or don’t want to happen is jon and dany marrying or falling in love that’s why he is fighting against every chance he gets it . Even in the case of jon bending knee he makes jon who doesn’t care about power or not prideful and the one who will sacrifice a anything for his people…

If Davos and Tyrion are infiltrating KL in 705, then Jon and Davos’ arrival at Dragonstone really can’t be any later than 704 — Jon and Dany meeting for the first time will be an episode unto itself. In turn, Jon and Davos must depart Winterfell no later than 703, in my estimation.

It would seem like the Sansa/Littlefinger story this season is more likely to be about him urging her to usurp Jon’s throne while he’s absent.

I also wonder, depending on the timing of Jon’s departure, if this is meant to avoid him meeting Bran this season, if the writers don’t yet want him to know what Bran knows.

Finally, these latest photos seem to confirm that Brienne doesn’t travel south with Jon and Davos, so if she’s at the Dragonpit at the end of the season, she must go south later.

Exactly! D&D have ruined everything, the show sucks, every development is now fan service, GRRM hates them, the books are going to be entirely different, Jon and Dany will never meet, the White Walkers will kill everyone and Varys is a merman.

Since when does WOTW put big spoilers in the headline??! Like Dee Stark and a few others, I occasionally scan to get a little GOT fix but have carefully avoided the stories with spoilers. So I didn’t read this one or the comments, but the headline was enough and I can’t unsee it 🙁

But they’re probably going this route. Not to my liking but not gonna throw hate on D&D, since they’re going as George told them. Much better than Jon and Sansa or Arya. Might be even good scenes, as their chemistry at least in interviews is fine. Really want to see see two strong individuals interacting, that’s why am excited.

Jon really doesn’t care about pride and titles. Given what he saw, he went through. In the books Jon was a bit more ambitious, but it was all befoe death and resurrection. Part of how Jon might be a changed man, he might just want to live.

Or maybe that quote from ACOK just tells us that at that point Daenerys, who is a young teenager (about 14 years old), still has dreams of a pretty young man as her perfect husband, something all teenagers go through just to realise that a man can be attractive without being a pretty boy.

I think you’re right. And honestly could be a hint that something significant will happen with Jon and Dany that may be more than just allies. Seems as if they’re setting up a story where they’re intentionally keeping Jon from Bran in season 7 so that he doesn’t have the knowledge of who he is going into the initial meeting with Dany and getting to know Dany. But by season 8 when he does get reunited with Bran and learns this information…what is the status of Jon and Dany’s relationship? It does seem like they’re setting up the possibility of a moral dilemma for Jon Snow, perhaps that third treason “for love” from Dany’s book version of the House of the Undying.

We have not had a sighting of Emilia on set either. Maybe indoors scene for the ladies. I don’t see Olena and her bad hips navigating those steps. LOL.

Books are and will be diffrent in many ways. That’s what D&D said but key events like Jon meeting Dany, Cersei hopefully dying, Stark reunion happening. Both how we’re going to get there and all that will be different. Just like Jon’s resurrection will be a bit different, as George was not happy with show’s version of it. Again words from D&D.

This is what I believe as well. They don’t want Jon to know about R+L before he meets Dany and develops a relationship with her, and they don’t want him to have any new WW intel too soon. It’s possible Bran might also have more he needs to learn.

Which makes me wonder when he’ll find out about his parentage and how.

Care to compare the first 4 seasons of GOT with seasons 5-6? The first 4 seasons ( that mostly used material from the books ) made TV history. Season 5-6 were all about fanservicing the people that cheered for the Big 4 ( Jon-Dany-Tyrion-Arya ) with some cheap plot twists in the way. I don’t blame D&D. Numbers talk. And all the fans that want the Disney ending are far more than the ones that prefer the spirit of the book. Evil Cersei dies. Evil Littlefinger dies. Back in Season 3 (“And Now His Watch Is Ended”), Cersei speaks with Olenna and confirms that Robert was not buried in the Great Sept of Baelor – he wanted his remains returned to Storm’s End. If Robert’s warhammer was interred with him, then someone would need to travel to the Stormlands to retrieve it. If it wasn’t buried with him, then I suppose it could still be in the Red Keep’s armory. But it seems unlikely that Gendry would risk sneaking in there to get it – someone inside the castle would need to retrieve it for him. Not sure who that would be.

I think it’s more likely that Gendry forged this warhammer on his own, since he knows his parentage now. But I guess we’ll see. It would certainly be powerful to have Gendry wield the actual weapon that Robert used to slay Rhaegar, but it’s cool either way.

Hopefully people will be able to film or make photos at Zumaia like here at Gaztelugatxe and manage to capture Jon, Dany and Tyrion. Best would be their scenes or just them at set together. But of course if it is possible, don’t know how the place looks like, and opportunities for photos and filming.

I suppose you understand I was being sarcastic. Well, if he wasn’t happy he should have finished the book sooner, so we could compare the two versions and complain after. Anyway, these arguments lead to nowhere. Everyone is entitled to their opinions, of course. I always believed and keep believing that D&D are doing an excellent job with some impossibly difficult to adapt material. And since we have no material to compare with S6-S8, I don’t understand why people keep insisting that D&D have ruined the show. A lot of things from the last two seasons will surely be in TWOW and ADOS.

The story has to end at sometime and its going in logical way and things set up from the start coming to fruition and complete ..

Hard to tell who is and is not sarcastic. Key events and lot of them will be in TWoW or ADoS but some people simply hate the fact that show will give us ending before the books. It will be very close to books, not fanfic from D&D as they’re in touch with George. Not only it must be part of deal George made woth HBO to be helpful to them but also it’s in his own interest to se GoT doing well.

These constants arguments make me not even want to watch the show anymore – I am that fed up. Add on to that problems at home and well I don’t want anything to do with this constant arguing. A shame really as it is one of my favourite shows. Ah well least I have Westworld and Star Wars Rebels to keep me entertained and the first six seasons of Thrones.

It was always the case Dothraki would have to be wearing proper clothes for Westerosi weather but most of the time it was aimed at winter and how they’re going to do in these conditions. Same with Unsullied. They never saw a snowflake in their life. Just wonder, how Unsullied will be dressed, what improvement.

You can tell the North is poor for its King’s clothes are worse than what an average southern noble wears.
