‘Frozen’ on ‘OUAT’: Lasseter’s Set Visit, Season Premiere Date, Potential Spinoff Series

ABC revealed the hit program will officially return Sunday, September 28 at 8 p.m. EST, followed by the season premieres of

],” said ABC President Paul Lee. John Lasseter is onboard with this thing. If that doesn’t speak highly to the integrity of 

‘s wild popularity is no secret, and ABC is already thinking about putting a full-blown 

spinoff in the works. Of series creators Edward Kitsis and Adam Horowitz, Lee said, “We don’t have immediate plans for a 

spinoff, but they’re so inventive, those two… Eddy and Adam are endlessly inventive, so they have glints in their eyes of stories that they can spin for years to come. So it certainly doesn’t rule out their ability or my ability to go beyond

Come on, ABC. Come on. Please don’t do this, this is ridiculous.

Right? And that was with them just doing it because OUAT was so popular. This would clearly be a double-whammy of “just a cash cow.”

I haven’t seen OUAT yet, but all this Frozen hype has made me VERY interested.

Regarding a Frozen spinoff, I’m not sure. The Frozen wave is finally started to die down and I feel that by the time they get it off the ground (next Fall), it won’t be relevant anymore. Plus, I’d hate for Frozen to be over saturated and ruined as a result.

You should check out OUAT if you get the chance. Really solid show. Can’t say the same for the Alice spin-off, but the original is really very well done. First season was finding its legs, and then it only got better from there.

I find OUAT enjoyable…only on the basis that it’s the very DEFINITION of what TV Tropes calls a ‘Supernatural Soap Opera’ (Season 3 took this to unbelievable levels). That said, there are much better things to hate-watch out there (Hemlock Grove).

I was worried about the over saturation of Frozen as well, but we’ve probably already reached that level. As a Disney fan, I might as well sit back and enjoy it even if the general populace has started to get annoyed by it all. Hey, if nothing else, it makes merchandise more accessible.

Wait, the Frozen wave is dying down? There’s more merch coming out this fall!

I hope that Hans’ 12 brothers make an appearance! Now THAT is a golden opportunity.

I think this might finally be the push that gets me to start watching OUAT. I honestly don’t understand the concept of the show or how Frozen will fit in, but I’m more intrigued now than ever. That’s the power of Frozen, I guess!
