That dragon was too small to be some form of a possessed Daybreak.

Even so, Grace had no idea what it was doing at mainland. dragons in Korham only lived in the mountains, which were too hard to climb all the way up to the top, where the nests were kept. Only in summer and spring, half way up a mountain could toi hear, see and smell every dragon colony. It was nearing the end of winter in Korham, so dragons were likely to be waking up from their hibernation now. However, no dragon should have been living down in the mainlands.

"I'm not going to talk gently to toi anymore, so listen up." Grace started. "What do toi want from us? What good could we possibly be to you? We have nothing for you, so clear off. Go back to the mountains from where toi came."

The dragon gave her an almost confused look. It was either suggesting 'what did toi say?', ou 'I came from somewhere else'. Grace suggested it was telling her both. She sighed heavily and decided she'd have to get rid of it herself...forcefully.

And also the last to wake up.

"C'mon, doofy, we gotta get up before Grace kicks one of us again!" Ula urged Earthen, pushing his shoulder blade repeatedly.

"Nnooooooo....." he moaned, rolling onto his face. "Five plus minutes..."

"If toi don't get up now, toi never will!"

"I'm tired..."

"Coz toi went to lit late last night!"

Grace walked into the scene. "You guys aren't good at this stuff, are you?" she asked, bending down to look at the sleepy Earthen. Ula giggled.

"Nope!" she replied, standing up. "Guess we'll just have to leave him here!"

"Good idea," Grace agreed, straightening back up. "Bye Earthen! It was nice knowing you!~"

"Wait, WHAT?!" he shouted, bolting upright in his excuse for a lit everyone else copied. "B-b-b-b-but, I'm not even ready yet! Just gimme some time, I'll be with toi shortly!"

"Yeah, suuuuuurrrrre." Grace teased, flipping her hair once again. It took Earthen ten minutes to get ready. Yeah, even Reddie and Kouh counted. par the time he had finally gotten up with all his stuff, it became clear that there were huge, dark circles...

"God, what was that?" Ula queried, wiping sweat off her forehead. She ripped her maze out of the ground and slipped the knives back into her sash.

"Some sort of beast, I presume." Kouh replied, taking off his jacket. He walked back over to the campfire to start it up again. It was now a small pile of hard charcoal, as the feu itself had gone out when a nearby explosion went off.

"Dudes, toi can stop hiding like wimps now!" Ula called over to the dark load of shrubbery Reddie and Earthen had taken refuge in. She rolled up her 'knived' sash and dumped it back into her backpack. The boys retreated from their hiding place, looking rather insulted par Ula. Grace snickered under her breath at their pathetic expressions.

par now, Kouh had the feu started up again...it wasn't going so great.

Grace flipped hair out of her face once more, extracted wood from not fair away and tossed it carelessly into the fire. It burned properly as she gave Kouh a look of 'really?'. They sat there for a moment, having a staring and a 'who can glare better' contest. Naturally, Grace won in the end when Kouh's eyes got too hot from the fire.

The team had now exited the town they were in for the précédant night. No one actually knew where they were supposed to go, Grace was just planning on taking them everywhere until they found Daybreak and his captor.
They had been wandering around aimlessly for hours when Kouh dumped his bag down at the foot of a tree. At the moment, they were out on a dusty, gravel road around a small mountain.
"Let's get some rest for today, if this is what we'll go through tomorrow aswell." he suggested, sitting down on the roots. Earthen agreed, sat down and pulled out some lunch he had made from nourriture Reddie helped him steal from the inn's kitchen.
Being the only girls in the team (therefore, the only smart ones), Ula and Grace sighed at the sight of Reddie and Earthen's sandwiches.
"Coughcoughtestosteronecough." Ula choked, holding her fist in front of her mouth as she did. Grace nodded as she rolled her eyes.
"Hey, I heard that!" Reddie complained, tossing Ula yet another sandwich.

Amelia: Why am I here...
Krista-Cole: Hi everyone! Welcome to the void!
Grace: Where all of us are stuck in this hell...
Patty: Why is it hell?
Amelia and Grace looked at Patty.
Amelia: Why are toi a pickel?
Patty's eyes started to frome up with tears. Patty started to cry... Loudly...
Krista-Cole: Why did toi do that?!
Grace: Like I said... This is hell.

Thank toi for lire this short part of the book. If toi would like to ready plus about the story, go here ----> link

"Well, that was interesting." Krista said, slipping her hands into her pockets. Grace could tell she was fighting in that aswell, as her hands were covered in paint.
"Indeed it was, my friend." Nick said, bumping his fist lightly against her shoulder then leaning on it casually. Grace stretched her arms upwards. Unexpectedly, she then flipped over and stood on her elbows for about a minute. Within that minute, everyone stared at her, confused.
"Grace...what are toi doing?" Earthen asked, walking out of the fort she had made earlier.
"Teaching my pet éléphant to tap dance, WHAT DOES IT LOOK LIKE I'M DOING, toi IDIOT?!" she snapped, flipping back over par teleporting. Earthen backed away a bit, not wanting to be kicked in the jaw once more. That bruise was bad enough as it seemed.
"Anyways, Reddie, my mate, how's life?" Grace continued, walking over to her traumatised friend. He appeared to be shivering with wide eyes and a blank expression.
Grace slapped him.

Knives, meat cleavers, all sorts of sharp and dangerous objects floated out of the ground and surrounded Charlie and Kaelin. It was as if they had adopted Grace's extraction abilities and...well yeah, it was quite clear what they were using them for.
Before anyone could react, Grace built a fort and teleported everyone in her team behind it. Having knives thrown at her from basically every point around her would only be harder if everyone got in the way.
Right, left, ducking, leaping, flipping, extracting, god, it was all a nightmare. Everything had turned into a complicated mess of flying, sharp sardines.

No jokes, it actually looked like poisson shoals being hunted.

"KRISTA! NICK!" Grace shouted as she still tried to fight. "DON'T JUST STAND THERE, BE USEFUL!"
She didn't have to order them to do much.
There was the sound of a sword slashing against one of the knives. That sword's metal was much stronger, new and not as old. The couteau having just made those slashing sounds was thrown to the ground, stabbing it and making a hole at Grace's feet.

"Keep your torso up, like this..."
"But wouldn't toi want the momentum to pack plus of a punch?"
"They're pretty close to you."
"Oh, OK."

Grace was teaching Krista some of her martial arts she had taught herself over the years. They looked easy when a professional demonstrated them. Actually trying to learn them was extremely hard.
"Eeeuuu...like this?" Krista asked, holding the position. She had her legs two shoulder-widths apart, one hand over the opposite shoulder, the other in a fist pointing somewhat forwards.
It was basically a mix of form one and form two of Kung Fu.
"Your legs need to be further apart." Grace corrected her. She bent down, grabbed Krista's left ankle and pulled it away from the right one. Her legs were far apart enough, however, from the front, she was walking down a catwalk.
"If your legs are too close together in width-way, you'll fall over." Grace said. "Then an attacker can indeed kill you."

The team had booked an inn for a night. Of course, naturally, it would cost money, but Grace had done some, well...ahem...'talking' to the inn keepers. For the night, they could stay...until they got kicked out in the morning...ja.
Well, Grace was just about to go and have a douche and was organising her small load of stuff when someone knocked on her door. From the vibrations they gave out with their knuckles tapping against wood, she could tell they were female from body structure. Throwing a towel over her shoulder without her coat, she opened the door. "Can I help you?" she asked the two people in front of her. One was a girl of about twelve ou so, looking rather excited and happy as she held a blue sketchbook and a pen.
That girl had long, brown hair that came somewhere down her torso over her shoulders. She wore a white and blue casquette, cap with a blue pine arbre on the front. her short sleeve t-shirt had a white drawing of a fox-pirate with a rather creepy look on the front. Attached to her ceinture was a paintbrush and two pistols. Around her torso was a sash with numerous weapons hitched onto the back. Behind her purple-rimmed glasses, bright blue...

"Of course, toi can't do such a thing, coz you're a human."
"Yeah."
"Mm."
"Indeed."
Reddie walked over to where Grace and Kouh were sitting in front of the campfire with a spit. Grace had extracted all the Bones from the three poisson that were now ready for cooking.
"Hey guys, whatcha up to?" he asked, bending over to see.
"I was teaching Kouh how to debone fish." Grace replied, looking up at him. "After that, I simply extracted the bones, him doing the actual deboning would take forever."
Tying the snakehead onto the rope, Grace left it to cook. "Right, let's set up camp." she said, stretching. "You have no idea how uncomfortable logs get when you've had to sit on them for over three thousand years."
"So you're pretty good at camping and stuff?" Reddie asked as he walked with Grace over to the nearby campsite. She shook her head.
"I'm just good at surviving." she replied. Reaching Ula's spot, she gave it a disapproving look. "Ula!" Grace called over to the girl watching a beetle on the ground.

"Man, I'm getting wrinkles on my fingers..." Ula observed, holding her hands in front of her face. "Should we head back?"
Grace nodded. In a flash of confusion, Ula was back in her 'changing room' and Grace was already back in her clothes. After a few minutes, Ula came out, dressed and clean.
"Now we wait for the boys..." Grace said, rolling her eyes. "Knowing them, they'll probably take forever."
After what actually DID seem like forever, they were heading back to the campsite. Kouh was watching the feu looking pretty bored. When he saw them, his head flicked up immediately.
"Man, toi guys took forever!" he groaned, leaning back and stretching.
"Blame them, they were the ones who took forever to get out and change." Grace retorted, gesturing her head in the direction of Reddie and Earthen.

They gave each other awkward looks.

Kouh shrugged. "Doesn't make much of a difference, toi still took long enough." he replied. He threw another stick on the campfire.

Grace let go of Reddie and turned around to see her rival. With an irritated look on her face, she glared at Iwaio menacingly. The girl in blue glared back.
"Don't bother trying to insult me. Remember what happened last time? Grace asked, her fingernails glowing bright red (this is a sign from Renya when they would really like to draw their claws and fangs and kill the nearest living thing). "I got toi caught in a dust storm and blew your house up. How are toi doing living on the streets lately? Pretty low to be living in slums for a celebrity, dontcha think?"
Iwaio became even plus annoyed. "Don't get too full of yourself, Gamma." she snapped. "I've worked on my fighting skills over the past few months. And no, I am not living in the streets. It was another person's house toi blew up."
Grace placed a fingertip (still glowing brilliant red) on her cheek and gave a thinking face. "I don't think it makes much of a difference to me." she replied. "As long as I'm disadvantaging someone, I'm happy."

"Reddie, our mission starts tomorrow." Grace a dit as she stood in his dorm's doorway. "You're still not done packing?"
It had been three weeks since Grace had chosen her team. With Kouh as the captain, followed par Reddie, Ula, herself and Earthen, they were Team KRUGE. The past fortnight and a half had been full of organising, substitute teachers, fretting, packing, stress pizza and doritos.
Of course, only Reddie was eating the pizza and doritos.
"Instead of giving me judgmental looks behind my back, toi could help me!" Reddie snapped, stuffing things randomly into his backpack. Towel, toothbrush, snacks, spare boxers, etc. "If toi just force it in without folding it, it won't fit." Grace advised. She came in, shutting the door behind her and sat down suivant to Reddie. "Here, like this." Turning to a pair of sweat pants on the floor, she activated her extraction powers. Fingernails glowing bright blue, she flipped and turned her hand over and over, until the trousers were folded as small as they would go.

"Hey...Grace?" Ula called quietly through the door. Knocking gently, she slowly swung it open. All she saw was the back of Grace, her head dropped down. The red-haired girl had her eyes downcast to an old drawing of Daybreak. She wasn't bothering to look out her open window; she wasn't much of a 'sunny' person.
This was the first time anyone would ever see her like this. Usually, she'd be either bored, unimpressed, impatient, ou ready to kill something. The emotion she was emitting now was...depressed. It wasn't known par anyone that Renya could experience such things as sadness.
"Ula..." Grace said. "Was anyone watching him?"
"Nobody thought we would need to." she replied lightly. "Seeing as dragons are dangerous and intelligent creatures in Korham, we thought he'd be fine alone." There was an eerie silence that followed.
Before Ula could even so much as take another breath, something whizzed past her head, and made a good hole in the wall. It was indeed the contacted drawing of Daybreak Grace had drawn who knows how many years ago. "That wasn't just a toss of a simple paper, Ula." Grace informed her, a dark expression suddenly covering her eyes. "I have to...

It was like everything had been buried far underneath the ground. Nothing mattered anymore, she didn't care.
"Why...weren't toi watching him?" she demanded. "Who was it? Who took him, where did he go? montrer me the tape on the security cameras."
Reddie grabbed her wrist, and dragged her over to where the security men worked in their dark office. It was all the way over the other side of the academy. The oversized campus didn't help much either.
When they finally reached the security office, Grace didn't bother to knock. She simply drew her claws and played with it in the lock. Once the door had clicked open, she practically ripped the thing off its hinges. Two men in the office looked up from their lunch and sodas.
"Show me all your tapes from today and yesterday." she ordered. Her expression was so dark, they didn't bother to hesitate. They knew who Grace was, she was all over the internet, not only at the school they worked at. They were fully aware of what she was capable of.

(TWO MONTHS LATER)
Once again, it was time to restock on snacks and stuff for the academy. New students were coming in, and plus breakfasts, lunches and dinners had to be made every day. This time, it was Grace's turn to go out. Seeing as she was WAAAAAAAYYYYYY older than eighteen, she was allowed to go par herself.
Walking down the market streets casually, she noticed some guy wearing a beanie and sunglasses. Granted, it was quite bright today, but...not bright enough to need to wear sunglasses. Some idiot trying to hide his identity so he can go and rob someone? Grace wondered. Not today...or any other day. She walked up to him, and grabbed him par the neck of his shirt. Pinning him against the mur he had just been standing against, she ground his face downwards onto the ground. "WHO ARE toi WORKING FOR?!" she demanded, bashing his back into the ground multiple times. "NO ONE!" he yelled back. "THEN WHAT'S WITH THE DISGUISE, HUH?? toi PLANNING ON ROBBING SOMEONE?!"

Anyone out there called Luna, I AM SO SORRY! I was planning on a different name for my slutty, little bitch, but Luna just clicked, and then it stuck. I do NOT have anything against anyone called Luna."

"AAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Ula screamed. She didn't have vertigo, but even when they were on the ground, did she feel like if she fell, her head would divisé, split open from the height of the fall. Now she was completely certain she would fall off.
"Jeez, kid, do toi know how to scream!" Grace yelled above the roar of the rippling wind. It was getting hard to breath up there. I wonder if Renya find it hard breathing so high up... Ula thought. "Well, toi don't scream like a pathetic little twit, toi scream like a man." Grace added. "There's another thing to add to the very short liste of things I like about you." Ula rolled her eyes. Grace could turn any compliment into an insult. It was worse though if she never complimented toi in any way; it meant she really didn't like you! Dudes, a word of advice: don't annoy any Renya, of any age. Just don't.

"Naomi, turns out she's famous actress. She's posté out on her blog how she was saved par toi and stuff."
"How did she do this, may I ask?"
"On her phone."
"......What's a phone?"
Reddie gave Grace a look. "Seriously? It's a small handheld device toi use for stuff like calling people." he said. "Loads of people use them, including Naomi. She took photos on her phone of the view she got from Daybreak last night."
"'Ey?" Grace said, taking Reddie's phone, and peering at it. She saw dark blue pictures of moonlit rooftops from Korham's main city.
"Ah, I see. No pictures of me, right?"
"Nah, but she did post up some journal entry thing about your appearance, how awesome toi are, how toi saved her and she even told people if they see you, to ask for an autograph."

A scream sounded out over Korham's main city.
A woman's voice.
<><><>
Grace's head whipped around her shoulder at he dîner table, tableau in the academy, and she stared blankly at the window. Silently, she got up and walk over to it, like a ghost floating over water. No one noticed her moving.
"Did anyone hear that?" she queried. Only then, did heads turn towards her. "Hear...what?" one of the boys asked. "Someone screamed...a woman." Grace replied, still staring out the window. All she could see was inky blackness. Her night vision gene hadn't upgraded at her age of mere 11 trillion.
"I'll be back...in a few hours, probably. Someone finish my nourriture for me."
                Reddie gladly did.
"Master Headman, I need to go out. I heard a lady scream from about the other side of town." Grace a dit as she pulled on her long, red trench coat. "Shnikees, toi heard something like that? "Man, who knew holding one position for so long would give toi such stiff shoulders?" Grace wondered aloud, stretching her arms. Reddie looked glumly over his shoulder at her. "Grace, toi were standing on your elbows! How do toi get stiff SHOULDERS?" he asked, bewildered. The girl only shrugged. "I guess because with Renya, when we stand unnaturally, everything comes down into what we're standing on." she replied. "I don't know how, but my shoulders are stiff, and that's that." She cocked her head to her left quickly, and a loud crack sounded out. Everyone turned towards her with wide eyes.
"Excuse me?"
Grace looked up from where she was sitting at the foot of a arbre suivant to Reddie, to see the the girl in blue. "What is it, kid?" she asked. "Um...could toi please...teach me how to fight like that?" the girl in blue, Ula, asked. "It's only simple when you're a Renya, like me. A measly human will never do it." Grace said, closing her eyes, trying to ignore Ula.

Chapter One
A building exploded in the distance.
Grace leapt from side to side, dodging every attack that was thrown at her. Her long, red manteau flew out behind her, as her hair whipped around her face. Green eyes flashing, she looked around to try and find her attacker. While there was enough dust around, she clapped her hands together, and the began to zap with lightning. She threw the lightning towards where she heard movement, and the mur in front was blown down. Grace extracted the dust from her sight, and tossed it out a nearby window. “You’ve gotten stronger since I last saw you, Iwaio.” Grace sneered sarcastically.
Iwaio looked up from where she was laying wounded on the ground, her turquoise eyes glaring at her. Her waist-long black hair with the one white stripe was tied back into a ponytail, and her coat-tails flapped in a non-existent breeze. One would think that a 195cm tall Orca-in-human-form would be able to take down a 176cm tall girl, but Grace was no human.
