As the group stared at the lasers in despair, Kowalski walked nearby ,looking a little lost. He looked to his left and noticed them.
"Oh there toi guys are." He realised, walking over to them.
"Hey Kowalski." Emma greeted, still staring at the lasers. "Now, how are we gonna get past this?" She wondered.
"What if we just jump over all of the red lasers like a pretty little bird-no, wait, a kangaroo, grab the blood stuff, and jump back over -boing! boing! boing!-and get out of here?"Sylvia suggested, a slightly insane look on her face. lake rolled his eyes and put a flipper to his forehead.
"That does sound pretty good, but we'll probably get burnt to death par the lasers if we even skim one." Emma pointed out. She stared at the lasers thoughtfully, and glanced around the room. "Can anyone see an off switch anywhere?"
"Nope." Sylvia replied after looking around for a few moments. "Oh, is that one? No just a weird bug." She realised, after touching a little round green shape on the wall. Emma tried not to giggle and looked harder.
"Well there's gotta be one somewhere..." She murmured, standing on her tiptoes.
"Ooh, is that one?" Sylvia wondered.
"No, it's just a weird bug!" Blake replied.
"No I think it really is a switch." Sylvia said, touching and and turning the lights off. Blake faceflippered and sighed. He looked up and stared at a shape in curiosity.
"Is that one?" He wondered, pointing to it.
"I think it is actually." Emma answered, looking cheerful. "Oh, it's on the other side of the room." She realised, the smile slipping from her face.
"Well this sucks." Blake remarked.
"No duh." Kiva said, staring at the lasers.
Meanwhile, Cam shook his head, and got up dizzily. He spotted the others in the blood room and followed them in curiously.
"What the hell? Where am I?" He wondered. The other turned to face him, hoping he hadn't Lost his memory, ou anything like that. "Oh yeah, I remember now." He realised, making Emma breath a sigh of relief. "I can get the blood thing if toi want." He said, beginning to step over the lasers. Kiva followed him and Emma watched in alarm.
"Woah, be careful, those things could fry toi to bits." She warned them. Kiva ignored her, still a little annoyed at how Emma acted earlier.
"Where's Madi anyway?" Cam wondered, as he stepped over the lasers and got closer to the blood substance. Suddenly, an ear piercing scream echoed through the base, making Cam fall over in shock. Kiva tumbled over suivant to him, and a loud ringing sound erupted in the room, as the lights around them flashed red. "Oh no. Everyone, we need to leave NOW!" Cam shouted, getting up and running out of the room. Kiva went to follow him, but fell and got her leg trapped.
"Kiva!" Emma exclaimed, briefly forgetting their little argument, and running to help her friend. She freed Kiva's leg, and grabbed the blood sample, and ran with Kiva towards the door. "I wonder of Ash is okay?" Emma thought aloud, looking around for the young penguin. Kiva sped off in another direction, looking for Madi.
Meanwhile, Emma ran to the main entrance, and saw her friend bravely fending off a group of guards.
"We have to go!" She told him, picking him up, and running out of the building hastily, before he even got a chance to say anything.
"Why aren't we getting attacked?" Blake wondered, looking around him. Suddenly, a guard jumped out of nowhere, and began to fight him. "Gah!" He exclaimed in surprise, as he fought back. Kiva ran deeper into the base, looking around for Madi desperately.
"Madi? Madi?! Where are toi Madi?" She called. Whilst she was searching, Kowalski was running around confusedly, and noticed Kait on the floor. He picked her up, and ran over to Emma and Ashley.
"Who else is missing besides Madi?" He wondered.
"I'm not sure." Emma replied. "Wait, Kiva's still in there, and I think Blake and Sylvia are too!" She realised.
"I'll go and find them!" Ashley piped up, running back into the base.
"Ash, don't!" Emma exclaimed, watching her friend in horror. Blake quickly knocked out the guard, and began running to the exit.
"Go go go!" He shouted to Sylvia, gesturing for her to follow him. Whilst Kiva was looking for Madi, she bumped into Cam.
"Woah, Kiva, why are toi still here?" Cam asked.
"I'm trying to find Madi." Kiva replied.
"Kiva! Get out of here, now! I will find Madi!" Cam told her.
"No I'm going to find Madi I don't want anyone else getting hurt ." Kiva argued, running off to find her, passing Blake and Sylvia. Ashley caught up the group, looking worried.
"C'mon guys, the place is gonna blow up any second!" He told them breathlessly..
"Blow up? Oh god...like dynamite? Ooh, that reminded me of a song." Sylvia realised. "I throw my hands up in the air sometimes, saying-" She began to sing, as Blake sighed and pulled her along. Ashley cast Sylvia a weird look and shook his head.
"C'mon guys, lets go!" Ashley told them, running back out." Meanwhile, Sylvia was still chant along, when she looked around and stopped.
"Wait, Madi's missing." She realised.
"You've only just noticed?" Blake asked, exasperatedly.
"Maadddiii!!!" Sylvia yelled. "Where are you!?"
Meanwhile,. Ashley ran up to Emma and panted.
"They're not coming out because they're trying to find Madi." He told her.
"But they could be blown up!" Emma exclaimed, faceflippering. She heard something the distance, and gestured for the others to be quiet.
"20, 19, 18, 17..." A computer voice coming from thr base rang out.
"Oh crud..." Emma muttered. She scanned the building and sighed in relief as she noticed Dylan running over to them.
Kiva was still running around, trying to find Madi, and Blake and Sylvia followed her, calling Madi's name every now and again.
"Madi, dang you! Where are you?" Blake called, looking a little annoyed and worried.
"Madi, please! We're all gonna blow up if toi don't come!" Sylvia added.
"Madi!" Cam called wandering into a room. He noticed a land leopard joint, joint d’étanchéité minion standing the corner, a devilish smile on it's horrible face.
"Where's Madi?" Cam demanded, glaring at the minion.
"You mean her?" The minion asked, bringing it's arms out from behind it's back and throwing Madi on the floor. Madi groaned, and tried to stand up.
"Madi!" Cam exclaimed. "What did toi do to her?!"
"Figure it out." The minion replied simply. "If toi know Spanish I'm pretty sure toi can figure out what kind of poison she consumed."
"Poison?" Cam repeated, looking down at Madi worriedly. "You make her better right now!"
"Don't depend on us." The minion said, disappearing down the hall. Cam glared at him, then picked up Madi.
"Cam.." She managed in a barely audible whisper. Cam sighed, and began running outside, closely followed par the others.
Meanwhile, the leader and the lieutenant were having a heated discussion as the computer voice began counting back from 10.
"We have to get out of here, ASAP!" The leader declared, heading towards the back exit.
"But what about getting the blood?" The lieutenant asked.
"Don't worry. We will get it soon enough." He replied. The lieutenant nodded, and followed him.
Meanwhile, Emma and Ashley stared at the building hopelessly, as the computer voice began counting back from 5.
"I- I think I see Cam and Madi!" Emma said, pointing to the entrance.
BOOM!!!!!! The base exploded and rubble, dust and debris was sent flying everywhere as the broken building went up in flames. Kowalski, Kait, Emma, Dylan and Ashley hid behind a nearby rock as a large chunk of brick crashed down beside them. When the brick stopped falling from the sky, they got out from behind the rock and stared at the flaming base with wide eyes.
"W- where's everyone else..?" Ashley stammered.
"Oh there toi guys are." He realised, walking over to them.
