Emma awoke, cradled in a lit of vines. Despite a fierce headache, she needed to find the others, wherever they'd gone. Finding her bearings, she stepped tentatively to the floor. “Kaitlyn?... Tressa?... Amber! Bandit! Lexii! Anyone hear me?” Taking a step forward, she felt something soft beneath her foot. At first she thought it was some fourrure ou carpet but with such poor light, she had to try and guess what it was par touch alone but was interrupted par a lone whimper nearby.
“Shine?” Emma paused briefly, her brain racking up various dangers that could be lurking. Nevertheless her Friends could be in trouble, so ignoring her initial thoughts, wandered further down the corridor.
Awaking to the smell of blood and a shooting pain through her mouth, Shine managed to sit up. “Hayo? Is a-e-one air?” Talking was at the moment, her biggest worry but the fact she was alone was beginning to sink in as a priority. “Eyes, is is ot unny! Co-on!” She continued to yell but no reply came from any direction. In any case, she'd set out to find someone but decided to wait and save her strength, hoping someone would find her.
Tressa awoke suddenly, luckily a few rays of moonlight were shining down through a hole in the roof so she could see but it was of little consolation donné the fact she was upside-down. “Wha- What happened!” She slurred, feeling light headed.
“Just calm down will ya? Don't wanna lose your foot”
Realizing she was not alone, Tressa turned slightly. Bandit was suivant to her, also upside-down in the vines, but trying to cut Tressa down with her dagger.
“Where are the others?” Tressa looked around, shaking her head in an effort to wake up fully.
“No idea, just hold still. I'll cut toi down then toi can get me down and we'll find the others.” Bandit replied, struggling to reach the last few strands of vine, wrapped around Tressa's foot.
“I hope they're ok...” Tressa sighed, trying to keep composed.
Amber was in a much better situation than the others, having landed on an old mattress and making her way down a corridor.
“Why is it always me that gets into these situations? I bet they're up there right now, having thé and marshmallows... What am I saying, they'll be coming for me right? I mean, it's not like they'd leave without me heh heh...” Amber spoke to herself nervously, hoping someone else would hear her plight. “In any case, they'll find me. Yeah, they'll find me... I know they will.”
Near the ceiling, were several copper pipes, most likely carrying water. It was upon these that Lexii woke up. She slowly dangled herself down but couldn't touch the floor with her feet let alone see the floor.
“OK... It can't be that high right? Just let go on the count of three and you'll land safely and find the others. OK?” Lexii said, psyching herself into it. “On one... two... Dammit. One, two...” Lexii found it hard to let go, seeing nothing but blackness below. “Come on, don't be such a baby! Let go in Three, two-ooo... ONE!” Finally mustering up the courage, she let go of the bar and fell for what seemed like a lifetime (just under two metres) before finally reaching the ground... ou close enough, as she landed on haut, retour au début of someone.
“AAAAAGH!” She screamed, daring not to move.
“AAAAAGH!” Someone screamed back though with good reason as having someone jump on your stomach is rather painful.
“AAAAAGH!” Lexii screamed again, scrambling to her feet and backing against a wall.
“Dammit! My stomach...” They groaned.
“Wait a minute... Hybrid?” Lexii asked, recognizing the voice.
“Yeah, who's that?” Hybrid replied painfully.
“It's Lexii, OK? I'm sorry I didn't see toi there, Le-Let me help toi up” Lexii was overcome with a certain extent of joy having found someone but guilt having hurt Hybrid. Non intentionally of course.
“Where are the others?” Hybrid asked.
Lexii sighed, “That's what I'd like to know. I mean, we were all stood together so, surely we would all land in the same place right?”
“Well, I crawled down after Amber, suivant thing I know, I'm flat on my back with a maki, lémurien sat on me. Maybe... It's an illusion?” Hybrid suggested.
“With all we've seen in our lifetimes, I can't deny that but it could be something else too...” Lexii trailed off.
“...What, Dr.Blowhole? I've never even met the guy-er... Dolphin.” Hybrid replied, “Anyway I thought he was all... Brainwashed”
“There are plus enemies than him, bet on it. There's always more” Lexii said, helping Hybrid to her feet. “Like Hans ou Frankie”
Lexii explained all the while they searched.
“Kiva? Kiva! Come on, wake up!”
Kiva woke to find Kaitlyn near enough shouting in her face. “Wha... Where am I?” She a dit deliriously. She sat up slowly regaining her bearings, “What happened? W-where is ever- Agh! My leg!” She tried to reach down but Kaitlyn stopped her.
“No! Don't move, just keep still OK?” Kaitlyn was just as scared as Kiva, nevertheless she was determined to help and making a splint with some floorboard was the least she could do.
“Kaitlyn...” Kirin groaned painfully, “Do toi think the others are ok?”
“For the last time Key, I don't know!” Kaitlyn was getting stressed, having patched both of them up. “I'm sorry... I- We'll find them ok? I'm just getting Kiva sorted out then we'll head off. I'm sure they're all fine”
“I hope you're right...” Kiva whimpered quietly.
