Kowalski put his head to Emma's chest, hoping to hear a heartbeat. After a few agonizing seconds, a weak 'thump' entered Kowalski's earhole and he sighed with relief.
"Is... is she ok..?" Ashley whimpered, his big green eyes wide with worry.
"She's alive, but her pulse is weak." Kowalski explained. "Rico, do toi have a first aid kit?" He asked, a slight tone of urgency in his voice. Rico nodded and threw up a big red and white box, which landed neatly in Kowalski's flippers.
"What do we need to do?" Maya asked.
"We need to stop the bleeding in her back, and she's Lost quite a bit of blood, so she's gonna need some." Kowalski replied. A thought struck him and he stared at Emma.
Would her body support other blood types, since hers is extremely rare? He wondered, remembering what Emma told him once about her blood type. It was slight different from the normal ones, it was EE negative, something that barely even existed anymore. Oh wait, she a dit that though her blood type is compatible when giving other people her blood, her body can only tolerate EE negative and AB negative. He remembered suddenly. And she a dit that AB blood acts as a temporary replacement, while her body makes plus EE blood. He added.
"What blood type is she?" Ava asked curiously.
"AB negative." Skipper replied, looking towards Kowalski who had the same. Kowalski nodded and, with Rico's and the first aid kit's help, transferred some of his blood into Emma. They then quickly stitched up her back.
"How long until she wakes up?" Dustin asked, taking a step closer.
"It could be anything from a few minutes to a we-" Kowalski trailed off as Emma's eyes opened slowly. She groaned slightly and rubbed her back, where the stitches were, as she sat up. Kowalski's eyes lit up with joy and he hugged the shorter manchot, pingouin tightly, stroking her hair feathers gently as he did. Emma hugged back, momentarily forgetting where she was, as she relaxed in Kowalski's flippers. Her mind snapped back to reality and she pulled away, looking around at all of her friends.
"Where's Tiatra?" She asked sharply, almost jumping off the floor.
"Right here Emma, in this...." Ashley began, staring into the jar in confusion. "She.. she was right here..."
"Well where is she now?" Michael asked, looking around nervously. Ashley shrugged helplessly and started to look around the room. Marlene saw a shadow flicker off to the right and her light brown eyes fell on the source.
"There she is!" She exclaimed, pointing towards a rose and white pigeon, which was pecking the ground with it's beak. suivant to it was a small open window.
"If she goes through there, we might lose her forever.." Private pointed out. Emma picked up the knife, which was left carelessly on the floor. She clenched it in her flippers and drew her arm back. She released the couteau and it sailed through the air, hitting Tiatra directly in her stomach. The villain squawked in pain and fell to the floor, changing back to her own form. Emma smiled slightly in satisfaction and began to walk over. As she did, Tiatra groaned and sat up, clutching her side. She winced in pain as she pulled out the couteau and her dark rose eyes turned to Emma.
"You!" She began, pointing a flipper towards the penguin. "You've just made yourself a powerful enemy, and I swear, as long as I live, I will not rest until toi are destroyed!" She rasped her expression dark with pure anger and hate. She looked up at the control room, and a creepy smile edged onto her face. She nodded and the lights went out. The sound of feet padding against the ground echoed through the hall, and when the lights were back on, Tiatra had vanished. Suddenly, a loud alarm sounded, and the lights around the room flashed red.
Self destruct in 1 minute! It warned, screeching at a horribly high pitch. The animaux exchanged a look of panic, before dashing towards the exit. They slid down the corridors, and various things blew up around them, one nearly sending Rico flying through the air. They made it into the park, and ran faster than thought possible. Behind them, a deafening boom rang in their earholes, and they all fell to the floor.
"Oh my goodness, look up there!" Sky exclaimed, pointing to the sky. A small ship was zooming away at high speeds, only visible for a second, as it disappeared behind a cloud. The nuage passed and the ship was nowhere to be seen.
"Hatdowedonow?" (What do we do now?) Rico asked.
"I don't know Rico, I just don't know.." Emma replied helplessly, staring into the bright blue sky.
