They thought is was goodbye forever,
With that last hug from Rune.
But fate would bring them back together;
They'd see each other soon.
CC, Mech-Skipper, Monique and Rune were talking in Central Park. Rune seemed tense, and was constantly looking around nervoulsy, as if she was expecting something to jump out at her. MS kept glancing at Rune, as though sensing her discomfort. Finally, he had to ask what was wrong.
"Rune," he said, taking her paw so she would look at him. "Is something wrong?"
"N-nothing! That is, it's not like they're here!"
"What are toi talking about?"
"She's always saying something about them, whoever they are. She seems scared, and she used to have a lot of nightmares, and wouldn't talk about them," CC explained, looking at Rune with concern.
"What exactly are these people?" Monique asked.
"That's just it, I don't know!" CC said.
"THEY'RE HERE!" Rune screamed, hiding behind MS. "They're actually here!"
"Who are?" Monique asked.
"The...the...ones who...the penguins that-"
"PENGUINS!!" MS exclaimed. "Kowalski, Skipper, Rico, and Private?" He looked around nervously.
"Not those penguins!" Rune said, and pointed a little ways across the park. "THOSE penguins! The bad ones!"
"Are they from a diffrent universe, ou somthing?" Monique asked.
"I don't know! All I know is that they came to Germany and took me from my mother. The rest is a blur."
"Well, if they even think of hurting you, then they can answer to me!"
"Oh, help!" Rune squeaked, ducking back behind MS. "They're coming!"
Two penguins waddled up to the group. They were both big, and strong-looking, with sunglasses. One was holding a briefcase.
"Do any of toi know a baby raccoon par the name of Rune?" one asked, in a Britsh accent.
"Not sure I do, pal, but if toi have a phone number, I'll be sure to ring toi up." Mech-Skipper shot back. The seconde one, with the briefcase, glared slightly.
"And why, pray tell, are toi looking for her?" CC asked.
"Classified, ma'am," the manchot, pingouin with the mallette, porte-documents said.
Rune looked at them from behind MS, trying to keep hidden. The first manchot, pingouin spotted her.
"There toi are," he said, moving towards her. MS stepped in his way and glared at him.
"Ooh, bad move," he snarled, raising his metal flippers to fight.
"Please, we don't want any trouble," the other one said. He removed his sunglasses, and extended his flipper to CC.
"My name is George Sermon, and this is my partner, Andrew Vicors." CC crossed her flippers, frowning at him. George pulled back his flipper awkwardly. Andrew spoke up.
"We're here to take Rune-"
"NO-ONE IS TAKING HER!" CC shouted.
"Agreed!" MS exclaimed. "So toi put your fancy glasses back on and waddle right back where toi came from, ou you'll be flying there MS class!"
MS, CC, and Monique began to push them away, but they protested.
"You don't understand. We-" began Andrew.
"Are leaving now! Buh-bye!" CC snapped.
"Don't make us get Rico!" Monique added.
"No need for that!" George snapped, getting very cross. "Look here, missy, toi have no right to keep Rune, and we could charge toi with kidnapping!"
"Same to you, buster!" CC growled." Get outta here!"
"LET ME FINISH!" George boomed, turning around, as the group stopped. "Her mother has come here to take her home!"
"Mother?" Rune muttered, turning slightly pale, and grabbing onto MS' flipper. MS glanced at her, and stepped forward.
"Oh yeah? How do we know we can trust you! Why on earth would her own mother send two goons after her?"
Andrew, seemingly calm, stepped in front of his companion.
"Far from goons, my good man."
"We are manchot, pingouin agents from the Antarctic organisation for in looking for Lost children, and protecting familes in need," George added.
"We were stationed in Germany, when a little incident happened, and we had to send Rune to a safer place," Andrew continued.
"We weren't sure if her mother...well, we won't go into detail, But now that everything has been cleared up, and Janet, Rune's mother, that is, has signed the necessary paperwork, Rune can go back home!" George concluded, as the two put on their sunglasses again.
Rune held onto MS' flipper tighter, feeling dizzy, and breathing heavily. She heard what was being said, but couldn't take it all in, and process it. Her head was spinning with the fact that she might have to leave the Central Park zoo, and all her friends, sickend her, and her stomach churned at the very thought.
"Ok then, montrer us this so called, 'paperwork'," MS snapped. "We are Rune's family, and until I see solid proof, toi won't lay a flipper on her!"
"Well said, MS," CC and Monique agreed. George sighed with annoyance, and opened his briefcase. He fished around for a while, before holding up a file.
"This will contain all the proof toi desire, and much more," he assured them, clearly frustrated at their stubbornness. MS took the file from him, and Monique and CC crowded around, trying to see.
"Looks legit to me," Monique sighed, as MS closed the file, and handed it back to George.
"Ah, I'm still not convinced!" CC frowned, crossing her flippers again. This time, Andrew sighed out of annoyance.
"Maybe this'll convince you," he said.
The two stepped aside, revealing a female raccoon, about MS' size.
"That could just be any aléatoire raccoon!" CC exclaimed. If Rune recognises her, then I'll believe you!"
"It's funny," Monique commented. "I don't see them resemblance.
"But it's her," Rune gasped.
"WHAT?" CC, MS, and Monique exclaimed...
With that last hug from Rune.
But fate would bring them back together;
