^How can things possibly get any worse?! We're losing dozens of fans every single day and this site is without any sponsors, completely broke. Any social network without the celebrities is already doomed. Do you think that Fanpop is already dead? I don't. We should save this site any way we can and you know what they say: Any publicity is better than no publicity at all. We desperately need some stars to join this site because this site sure needs some cash to stop itself from shutting down due to total lack of fans, any fundings, and without any stars to spread the word of Fanpop in public. Otherwise, this whole site would go down for good in a matter of months.

^^Because, my friend, DarkSarcasm, I'm not blind. I have eyes and I see everything what's wrong with this site more than you. People are leaving, or they got banned every day. In just one week I lost 4 of my best online friends and that's not how this site should work. More people are leaving Fanpop, than joining this site, some of them leave forever and others are forced to leave. You don't have to be on Fanpop for several years to see that. This site looks like a sinking ship, an online Titanic, if you like, and I just wanna make it a better place for everyone. How can that be wrong?!? Just because your username happen to be DarkSarcasm, you don't have to be sarcastic all the time. Simply open your eyes and you would see the truth. Fanpop is a goner, and if we don't do anything about it, soon we won't have any online community left to save! You are on this site for years now. You must know by now when something is wrong with a social network. The same thing happened to Google Plus already. I know, because I had an account on G+ before I joined this site. Besides, I'm not as young as you may think. I've seen it a lot, on all those sites. I was on Facebook once, and God knows that even that kind of giant could fall any day soon. Let's not do anything which would bring down Fanpop as well. This site needs fundings and sponsors, my friend. Without a financial support from the stars, this site won't survive this year, not if it continue losing fans every day. No social network can survive without the fans and without the necessary publicity which only the celebrities can bring us, this site is doomed. Honestly I wouldn't want that. As DS said, it's FANpop. A site for fans not celebrities. Tbh I feel like it'd be kinda awkward to have celebrities on a site like this. Idk I just don't feel like it would work, not on a site like fanpop. Twitter and Instagram, yeah. But fanpop is just too small for it not to be at least a lil' weird imo.

Though it would validate those users who go onto Ariana Grande's fanclub to post their phone number with messages like, "omg i really love you, what's ur number call me pls."

Also, fanpop has been dying since like 2015ish. Maybe 2014. I feel like it has less to do with a lack of celebrities and more to do with the sheer number of glitches (after the image uploading one we went from having a few posts in an hour or two hours to a couple posts a day, on the random club which is arguably the most active club). It also has to do with the admins seeming to be rather absent these days. Things like that. I feel like trolls don't help; the random club has kind of gotten used to seeing armpits and buttcracks everywhere, but that kind of thing is probably off putting to new users.

1) in a weird scenario where Fanpop really would manage to get some celebs on here, I'm 100% sure that it would cost them way way more than any revenue they'd get from new people joining.
2) if you can follow your favorite celebrity on Facebook, Twitter etc., most people wouldn't really bother to make another account here. Also - if the celebrity ever took time to make a poll or anything (given that they wouldn't have some pr person doing that for them), you can still see that without registering.
3) no huge celebrity would really invest their time and resources in this site if it wouldn't be guaranteed to get back at least double the money, because let's be real - they are extremely busy people and it's cool if some of them are still managing their own Twitter/Instagram etc. accounts. I don't see what Fanpop could offer them that would be better than any other social site.
4) Fanpop would need ton of resources to advertise this new thing and I don't think they would risk it in case that the celebrity thing doesn't take off.
5) I wouldn't care smallest bit if they somehow managed to get any of huge celebs on here e.g. Justin Bieber or Taylor Swift. Maybe some other people would, but then they would come here only to obsess and try to communicate with them. I doubt that they would really care about Fanpop as a site and what it's about.
6) I feel like I've already written way too much on a hypothetical topic that's 99,99% never gonna come true.

In the near impossible scenario of this happening, I think some of the more obsessive fans/some content would just freak the celebrities out.
