I saw some sad faces in link for this so-called "Valentine's Day."

So I thought I'd remind fanpop what February 14th is all about.

A few things toi should take note of:

February 14th is also, and most importantly, link. Anyone who cares about women, ou just likes to talk about vaginas, is urged par this Vagina Enthusiast to attend your local university, community, ou high school's production of "The Vagina Monologues." And if toi try and tell me that your community isn't putting it on, make sure toi double checked. V-Day is taking place AROUND THE WORLD (not just America), so seriously look into it, especially if toi have never seen the Vagina Monologues before.

This is seriously happening in the US, Canada, Europe, Australia, Africa and Asia. It's kind of a big deal. Stopping violence against women often is.

OK, now that I have that out of the way, I wanted to give all toi singles out there a shopping liste for what you're going to be needing this Singles' Awareness Day

Shopping liste For Ladies
Ice Cream (recommended brand: Ben and Jerry's, but your favori brand will be find. Best if purchased a pint for each single celebrating with you)
Nail Polish (any color will do)
Brand new adorable pajamas (real pajamas, ladies, not that teddy toi wore for your ex loser)
pop corn, maïs soufflé (lots and lots of popcorn)
Booze (ONLY if toi are of age. Recommended: tequila for margaritas. Don't forget the margarita MIX as well. Daqueris work well, too.)
Fluffy pillows (make sure toi have enough for everyone)
Mini-pizzas (bite-sized and fun)

The Chick Flicks
Now, really, this is a subjective list. Any chick flick in this instance will do, but here are MY personal recommendations, in honor of Singles' Awareness Day.

Blankets (Especially if toi plan on being out-doorsey)
bière (and lots of it-- so long as it's packed away while you're driving!)
Your favori most manly musique (No l’amour songs! Unless it's "Love Song" par The Cure)
Hamburgers (take-out is fine)

If It's At Home
bière (and lots of it!)

Finger nourriture (and toi shouldn't make it yourself! Buy it pre-made, ou chips, ou something microwavable)
Sports jersey [If you're watching a sports game only]

Now I know what your thinking: What does a girl know about organizing a guys night. Very little. I made up the shopping list, but the suggested films are very genuine suggestions. I have watched and l’amour all the films on that liste (well, I might not l’amour all of them, but I have watched all of them), and strongly recommend it to celebrate the awesomeness of being a single guy.

All right, so I hope this article helped toi single guys and gals out there to understand how I expect toi to celebrate Valentine's Day-- With your buds. Preferably buds of the same gender. But feel free to invite gay men if you're a lady, ou a lesbian if toi are a guy, because they count.

The point is, make a night of it. Girls, now's the chance to relive your old sleepover days and indulge in ALL the cliches. That is, unless toi are still in your sleepover days, in which case, INDULGE, GIRLS! And boys, toi know toi l’amour kicking back with your bros and watching a good, solid action/sex movie (no, not THAT kind of sex movie, American Pie kind of sex movie). So please, instead of moping, celebrate ALL of the things toi get to do as free, unattached human beings. Be jolly and HAVE FUN!
