Why did the band almost break up? (Or are they really broken up?)

Hello, the band didn't break up, in fact, Evanescence performed in NYC and Brazil in November 2009. Amy is working with Terry and Tim on new material, toi can find a video of them recording in the studio on Twitpic, also toi can follow the band and get all the mises à jour for the album on Twitter.

Evanescence is intending to release an album in 2010, a new album, so they haven't broken up. Sure, there's been a lot of band members leaving, but Evanescence is still functioning.

Evanescence has never broken up.

Before the release of "Fallen", David Hodges left Evanescence. He was the keyboardist and back up/duet person on "Origin" and in track 4 "Origin" and "Fallen" version of "My Immortal."

In October 2003 Ben Moody left the band in the middle of their European tour. He was repleaced par Terry Balsamo.

Before the release of Evanescence's seconde album "The Open Door", Will Boyd left the band. I think this was in June 2006. He was replaced par Tim McCord.

I think around December 2006 John LeCompt's wife had their seconde child. Evanescence had to annuler a montrer ou two for that. I think around the beginning few months of 2007 John LeCompt and Rocky Grey were fired from the band par Amy. They were replaced with Troy McLawhorn and Will Hunt.

Amy gave reasons for Ben's departure as "creative differences." As for the departure of Will Boyd I think she a dit he wasn't up for a very long tour again and he wanted to go on his own ou something. As for the firing of John and Rocky, Amy gave the reason as the band was unhealthy.
