While trying to figure out during which month of the year 1884 the first movie of Enola Holmes takes place using the Pall Mall gazette seen in the same movie I failed to get a match by being one day off which I suspect might be due to not accounting for leap years. What's more the movie seems to picture a season that is too green for January. Because following the bombing of Scotland Yard on May 30 1884 the news paper would be filled with the investigation that followed during the second half of the year. Then the national archives mention a publishing vol. per year, which is not compatible with vol. XL (40) since it would bring use from 1865 (vol. I) to 1905 (vol.40). Has someone found the correct date?
