How is Hercule a hero to the people of the world?

He claimed that he beat Cell when it was actually Gohan who killed Cell. They then showed a video at the tournament which happened to be a stupid recreation of the Cell Games. That is why Hercule is called a hero when he is actually not.

Whenever Gohan beat Cell, there was so much dust and stuff going around so they couldn't see anything and their equipment wasn't working. par the time the dust had settled, Both Cell and the Z Fighters were gone, so when the announcer and camera guy asked Hercule what happened, he told them he beat Cell, and since they had no proof that it wasn't him, they decided to run that story. They probably thought it would be better for the fans too because all of them, except the Z Fighters, were fans of Mr. Satan at that point.

I never understood that. That's why I hate Hercule. He showed a video to people that is clearly fake (even the biggest idiot can see that) and everyone trust him. He wanted to stay as "People's Hero".
