why couldn't bolt plus darker like watership down

bolt was really water down it was way too kid friendly bolt had no death it at all and no real villain like other Disney movie the lion king witch had death and sadness bolt was just about bolt going back accueil just like homeward bound there no fighting in bolt at all i mean come someone should died in movie
