Brother Bear 2 is a good sequel with nice animation, music, romance, and plot, but I thought it's humor is over-the-top with the moose, and I didn't care for Kenai's new voice actor, it irked me for the first twenty minutes or so. And while its areas I mentioned above are strong, the other sequels left are better than this in these areas. In other words, it's pretty strong everywhere but it isn't quite as strong as all or most of the remaining sequels in any of these fields. Also it's songs are not bad but fairly unmemorable and It personally doesn't catch my attention as well as the other sequels do either.
I picked Rescuers Down Under because while it's a well-done sequel, with great animation, voice-acting, and plot, it lacks on character development. It spends way too much time with Cody at the beginning and in the prison cell, and a bit too much time with Wilbur rather than with the mice who are supposed to be the main characters, and as a result, gives them a lack of screentime and when they actually do appear, it's usually in the context of an action scene. I know there was the love scene near the beginning of the movie but it ended up being a small part of the movie only in a couple of scenes and was quickly dragged up again in the ending. There is just a lack of time for anyone to develop, and compared to the other movies, especially The Lion King 2, Cinderella 2, and Lady and the Tramp 2, the character development here is easily the weakest. Plus the other movies have great songs which this movie lacks any of.
