These Disney Facts Will Make You Feel Old, Part 3
As Disney fans, we all made a pact to never grow up. We’re happy to say that we’ve succeeded with flying colors (in our own minds, at least). But sometimes, we like to look back at our childhoods and realize how grown-up we’ve gotten on the outside, just to
drive home what a feat it is that we’ve stayed kids at heart forever. This is one of those times:
came out. Andy graduated college last year.
came out eleven years ago, which would mean that in real time, Violet is 25, Dash is 21, and Jack-Jack is 12.
premiered sixteen years ago. Zenon lives in a space station in 2049, and she’s 13 and has lived in the space station since she was 2, which means living in space stations is supposed to be a thing in 2038, which is only 23 years away …
Most of the kids who just started as freshmen in high school this month were born in 2001, which was the same year
came out twenty-six years ago. Its premiere year, 1989, is as far away from kids born today as 1963 would be to a kid born in 1989.
premiered, the following stars weren’t even born yet: Demi Lovato, Selena Gomez, everyone in One Direction, Laura Marano, Rowan Blanchard, and Sabrina Carpenter. Zendaya wouldn’t be born for another five years.
premiered was “End of the Road” by Boyz II Men. Today, the Boyz are decidedly men, as they are all in their forties.
premiered were born in 1989. The kids who were in kindergarten when
premiered were born in 2008. That’s almost a twenty year difference.
And finally, here’s a Walt quote to make you feel young: “Adults are only grown up kids, anyway.”
Which of these facts was the most surprising to you? Tell us in the comments!
