One of my favori things about Disney films is the music, both instrumental and vocal. It's something I look vers l'avant, vers l’avant to every time a new Disney movie comes out and then I listen to the new songs on repeat for a few days (or, in some cases, weeks). Today I decided to put together a liste of my haut, retour au début ten favori Disney songs (hardest liste I ever made). The songs I have in this liste are based on:
1. How often I listen to/sing the song
2. Nostalgia
3. How much I relate to the song

10. I Just Can't Wait to Be King from The Lion King
For as long as I can remember The Lion King has always been one of my all-time favori movies. So when I was donné a tape that included I Just Can't Wait to Be King, of course I played it whenever I could almost every day, chant along loudly to it and reenacting the song with my stuffed animals. Sadly, the part of the tape that had this song was taped over a little bit and I still remember how upset I was. A few years later my stepmom gave me a cd with my own mix and when I heard this song on it I was so happy! Even now I have this song on my phone and I listen to it when I'm feeling down

9. When Will My Life Begin? from Tangled
Growing up I was stuck at accueil a lot and most of the time I was alone like Rapunzel. Most of my days at accueil were spent cleaning the house ou doing the same things over and over again. After I watched Raiponce I listened to this song a lot, mostly when I started cleaning the house in the morning. At the time I had just graduated high school and I was worried this was going to be my whole life. I'm married now and I'm working a decent job and my husband and I are currently making plans to déplacer to a better accueil so I'm happy to say my life really has begun

8. Why Should I Worry? from Oliver and Company
While this movie was never that populaire and has been considered underrated par many fans, myself included, Oliver and Company at least had some great songs, Why Should I Worry? being one of them. I watched Disney's Sing Along tapes a lot when I was a kid, mostly the one featuring Why Should I Worry? I don't know if it was because Dodger was my favori character in the movie ou if I loved this song that much ou if I loved to watch this cool dog going around New York doing crazy stuff ou what but even now I still l’amour this song.

7. Stand Out from A Goofy Movie
A Goofy Movie is another one of my all-time favori films and its soundtrack is one of my favoris and Stand Out is my favori song from the movie. It's a song I listen almost every jour no matter what mood I'm in ever since I got the soundtrack on my ipod when I was in high school. I honestly regret not performing this song in my school like Max did for his school. I used to watch the scene over and over again on tape because I loved the dance moves, I loved Max's 90s outfit and his 90s hairstyle, and the song itself is awesome.

6. I Am Moana from Moana (no duh, right?)
I've a dit a few times why Moana the movie meant so much to me but for those of toi who don't know, the night my dad passed away I was rewatching this movie since I couldn't see him because I lived really far away from him. I was already feeling horrible and in pain from the loss that was coming (I had gotten a phone call that he had only a few hours left before immediately watching the movie) and surprisingly enough, the song How Far I'll Go reprise wasn't the song that helped me through this (since Moana had to leave her grandma before she passed away and Moana was at least happy that her grandma could live on in spirit in the ocean) it was I Am Moana. When Moana was at her lowest after Maui left and she had to give up the cœur, coeur her grandma came and helped her realize who she was. While I didn't have that exact experience, this song helped lessen the pain I was in and like Moana sang to her grandma, I will carry my dad in my cœur, coeur

5. Let it Go from Frozen
This song has gotten a lot of hate in the 5 years since it was released and I can see why. When a song is played repeatedly and is overhyped that can make people want to smash their radio with a hammer every time that song is played. I've never had this kind of problem with the song, mostly because I never heard it on the radio a bunch of times nor do I have any kids playing it over and over again so I can't really complain. I'm actually one of the many people who will say this song helped with my depression. I've had depression and anxiety ever since I was a kid and I grew up in a family that didn't know how to handle it properly. To give a good example, I grew up in a Mother Gothel family. Unlike Rapunzel I was allowed to leave but like Rapunzel my mom and sisters treated me like a child who couldn't take care of herself and wouldn't take me seriously, made fun of my interests, and would sometimes make commentaires about my appearance. When I moved away to be with my husband I was sad to be away from them at first but soon I felt like I was free to be myself instead of hiding who I wanted to be.

4. Friend Like Me
This is another song I listened to every chance I got when I was a kid. From start to finish there's just so much crazy and fun stuff happening and being a Robin Williams fan the fact that it's him chant it makes it better. I loved watching films with pop culture references like Hercules, Aladdin, and A Goofy Movie when I was a kid which is another reason I l’amour this song so much

3. Feed the Birds
When I was a kid I couldn't get into Mary Poppins too much because I was plus interested in dessins animés than live action. But that didn't stop me from loving the songs from the movie. I wish I could put all the songs from Mary Poppins on this liste because I l’amour every single one of them but Feed the Birds is the one that stands out for me. This is a song I catch myself humming sometimes out of nowhere even after going months, sometimes years of not listening to this song. It's just so strange how much of an impact this song has left on me and I don't even know why that is. Maybe it's Julie Andrews beautiful chant voice, maybe it's the music, maybe it's the lyrics, maybe it's all of it together I reall'y don't have a clue. There's even times where I get tears forming in my eyes when I listen to it. There's times where I'm sad and I just have this urge to listen to Feed the Birds and somehow that song helps.

2. Part of Your World
The Little Mermaid was one of the reasons why I was so interested in water and ocean life. I was told really early in life that sirènes weren't real but I still liked to imagine what it would be like to be a mermaid. I even used to pretend to be a mermaid and sing Part of Your World to my stuffed animals. Even as an adult I still l’amour to sing this song, mostly in the dark and in the douche so I can really feel like a mermaid (I'm an adult, I swear).

1. Remember Me/Proud Corazón
Yep, this one is a tie. I l’amour them both too much to really put them in different places on this liste and since I l’amour both of them for similar reasons it only makes sense to have them be in the same place. Both songs bring tears to my eyes because they're songs that help me feel closer to my family, both living and passed on. Being so far away from them, I see my family once ou twice a an and though there's times where don't get along the goodbyes are still hard. When I listen to Remember Me I don't just think about my dad who passed away last year, I think about the people I have to leave. When I listen to Proud Corazón I think of all the people I l’amour who are with me and the ones who I'll remember forever, because like Miguel says,
"Our l’amour for each other will live on forever in every beat of my proud corazón."

Did toi like my list? Leave a commentaire and tell me what toi think :) I'll be doing a liste for my haut, retour au début ten favori instrumental songs soon!

All aboard! All aboard!

Down. Mrs.Jumbo, down!

Surround her. Tie her down.

Get down!

Calm down! Tie her down!

Have I got an idea! What an idea!

Huh. He never had an idea in his life.

Just visualize: One éléphant climbs up...

on haut, retour au début of another éléphant until finally...

all elephants...

have constructed an enormous pyramid...

of pachyderms.

I step out.

I blow the whistle.

- Yeah. - The trumpets are trumpeting.

- Yeah. - And now...

comes the climax!

Yeah? What is the climax?

Hmm. I don't know.

I knew he never had nothin'.

Well, maybe it comes to me...

in a vision while...

7 AM, the usual morning lineup
Start on the chores and sweep 'til the floor's all clean
Polish and wax, do laundry, and mop and shine up
Sweep again, and par then it's like 7:15

And so I'll read a book
Or maybe two ou three
I'll add a few new paintings to my gallery
I'll play guitare and knit
And cook and basically
Just wonder when will my life begin?

Then after lunch it's puzzles and darts and baking
Paper mache, a bit of ballet and chess
Pottery and ventriloquy, candle making
Then I'll stretch, maybe sketch, take a climb
Sew a dress!

And I'll reread the livres
If I have time to spare
I'll paint...
