Don't get so hung up over things that you're blind to all the good Ariel did do. Not that Belle didn't do good, but saving a bag shouldn't mean Ariel is automatically out. Her reckless "heroism" makes her only the last, out of these options. And what about Belle... Also, I did say in my other comment "Not that Belle didn't do good". I said you were blind because not once did you even mention that Ariel saved Flounder, Eric, killed Flotsam and Jetsam, and completely threw herself on Ursula and began attacking her.
