ROUND 1: Cinderella (2015) ELIMINATED
ROUND 2: The Princess and the Frog (2009) ELIMINATED

I'm picking Enchanted for the same reasons I said before. I don't understand why people feel Tangled is so faithful. It has the most Dreamworksy type of humor out of all the films in this list. The traditional storybook opening is literally eschewed for the sake of Flynn's obnoxious narration. The film ends with an ugly, old man clad in only a diaper. Let's not forget the horrendous marketing for the film and of course, there's the title. Disney was so afraid of alienating boys after TPATF, that they started the trend of gender neutral pronouns with this film and pretended to prop up Flynn's status as co-lead, even though pretty much all the marketing and merchandise for the film since then has only featured Rapunzel. I don't think this film will age well at all.

and Frozen and Moana and sorta Enchanted. The whole point of Enchanted is it's kind of a parody but it's not supposed to be offensive

Still don't see this as a parody. Though asteriamalfoy has a point: the drunk thug at the end is in very bad taste. As for the narration, Aladdin did something far more obnoxious waaaaay before. I don't see it as being parodic, more like a twist on the original storybook opening, like Beauty and the Beast's stained glass windows.

I don't see this as making fun of the original princesses. Rapunzel is her own character and unique to the previous princesses.

Same as before. It's not a parody at all. An offensive parody and an adaptation of fairy tale with modern touch are different things.

I disagree if PATF is less offensive towards classical Disney princesses compared with Tangled. The main character Tiana is portrayed as a realistic, hard-working young woman who isn't only waiting for her dream to be come true. It is basically the subtle way to bash classic princesses who waiting for their dreams to be come true. Tiana also has best friend Charlotte who was the total opposite with her and she has a lot of classic princesses traits. Although she's actually nice and helpful I think most of the time the movie portray her nothing more than a spoiled brat who only cares about prince charming and so on, and indeed they making fun with classic princesses with how they portray Charlotte.

This one is, for lack of a better term, the least insulting. All I can think of is the “I don’t sing” joke, and that’s pretty harmless.

I would have picked Tangled over TPATF to go out first, as Tangled is less "overt." TPATF had "don't believe in magic" because "it's not a substitue for hard work."

Oh, well. Of these, certainly Tangled.
