As much as I love him and even thought he changed at the end of the film, he would still be the worst ruler. Followed by Aladdin.

He is extremely impatient, and that is one of the worst qualities for a ruler. He would need to catch up with all of the royal issues, an I do not think h would care too much about his people

^Yeah, but the point of the movie was that he changed for the better. who knows, he could have been a very good ruler.

Flynn changes too, but it is never even implied he regrets or repents of his history of stealing or anything, which doesn't make for a very good ruler. tied with John Smith, though I think he has his wisdom.

however, as much as I love Aladdin, and though he's charming and has good intentions, he's too hasty to lie and make bad decisions instead of thinking things through, and gets into trouble too much. He also lets Jasmine talk down to him too much.

I see him rather apathic for ruling...
Also Naveen and Aladdin, they weren't in that role in their films (Aladdin being concerned about it himself, and Naveen with the family pressure to do something of his life)

Difficult, but I think that John Smith would want excitement too much- he might go starting a war just for a change of scenery.

He'd be too preoccupied with the fun part of life, to actually pay attention to his duties as a ruler.

I agree...he doesn't even manage to concentrate on serving, I can totally see him just leaving an important meeting because it bores him.

Definitely, he is a thief (and he don't steal food like Aladdin 'cause he is poor and hungry) but this is his "job".
He would not be a good ruler.
