rhythmicmagic picked La Belle et la Bête:
10. Tangled
9. Aladdin
8. The Little Mermaid
7. Mulan
6. Sleeping Beauty

So sad Sleeping Beauty is gone. That leaves only one of my top three.
And I'm voting for this one again. Rushed, inconsistent, typical.

or Snow White. I'm so happy that Sleeping Beauty FINALLY left, it deserved to go day 1.

What's wrong with "Beauty and the Beast?" That movie was nominated for best picture!

Jayden-G picked La Belle et la Bête:
It won many awards, but there are more than a few animation flaws and inconsistencies. Belle looks like 8 different people over the course of the film, and when we first see the Beast, he looks like a complete different person, as he looks very rugged and unlike himself, but it is only for a few seconds. There are other animation issue, and it was rushed. It was only in production for like 2 years, and they reused animation from Sleeping Beauty in the end to finish production on time. I think thats what Rhythmicmagic was talking about.

Thank you, Jayden-G! This doesn't have to do with whether the film was good, but simply which animation is your favorite, and if you watch the scene where she is in her house with her father, you have to admit that animation is of a lower quality.

^^ But that's compensated from other scenes, like the ball room scene or the transformation scene. And yes, there are some inconsistencies, but don't forget that there are inconsistencies in all animated movies. Other princesses, like Ariel, Jasmine, Mulan don't always look exactly the same from frame to frame.

Swanpride picked Blanche Neige et les Sept Nains:
@BA But the Ballroom scene is based on the dancing scenes in Sleeping Beauty...they reused animation from there!
And, mistakes aside, the style of BatB is not very creative. It's simply the Disney house style. I really love, love, love BatB, but the movie has two weaknesses. One is the rushed animation (the other are the time-line issues). And with rushed animation I don't talk just about stuff like the character looking slightly different in some frames, I'm talking about stuff like a duck gets hit by an arrow, next scene we see Gaston with a smoking gun while LeFou brings the duck (still with arrow in it) to him. That's such an obvious mistake! Or Belle suddenly loosing her apron in one sequence. Or Gaston is entering the house, leaves the door open....and then suddenly the door is magically closed again.

maryksand picked Cendrillon:
I agree with the examination of BatB flaws made by other commentators, however, since the pick is about a preferred STYLE of animation I just can't vote BatB out so early because in terms of drawing structure it was the most consistent and remarkable movie ever done by Disney whereas mistakes and plot holes have more to do with ultimately flawed writing and a very little consideration for story related details, it being the primary reason why this movie in general didn't make it to my top 5 favourite DP movies. Anyway... Cinderella is in my opinion the best DP film in general, however, the studio barely had an opportunity to elaborate on the style craftly and consistently seeing as Disney was on the verge of bankruptcy at that point. The picture overall is visually pleasant but rather primitive save for the dress transformation scene and the Cinderella/Charming ball scenes.
