You have no IDEA how much more I would like this movie if their roles were reversed. I would LOVE tiana, and i would still like Naveen (though not as much...)

Then again, I don't want my beloved Naveen's personality ruined. Still though, a movie as a whole, I would love it if they had focused more on the flirty, spoiled, fun type character than the hardworking character.

Why can't Disney ever make a movie where the girl is the fun flirt Aladdin/Naveenish type character who's trying to woo the guy, and the guy is resisting?! I would LOVE that!!

I like how Tiana is the hard working one and how she teaches Naveen how to mince! The cool thing about Patf is that we get the spoiled princess (Charlotte) and the hardworking one (Tiana).

I got my fun but ditsy girl who's pursuing the guy fix from Ariel. Love Ariel, but we've seen it. I know how many disagree, but I really liked the change in direction they went in with Tiana making her so grounded in reality. Not that I'd want every following Disney leading lady that way (my dream for a future Disney heroine is they find a balance they've never achieved, by giving a princess class and elegance like the classics, but spirit and strength like the moderns. They never think to mix, it's always elegance vs strength. People can have both Disney!), if/when they do more I'd prefer them to go back to a more classic fairytale premise, but for one movie I liked Tiana's attitude. And I love Naveen, and how he was awesome yet kind of useless at first.

although, like with Aladdin, i LOVE the original.

Being a flirty lazy sod is what makes Naveen amazing. He just wouldn't be as sexy without his epic win personality.

I just can't see them in switched roles, they're just both so different and it just wouldn't be Tiana and Naveen if Tiana was lazy and Naveen was hard-working.
