This is my favorite Disney Princess Movie. <3 The characters are fantastic, the songs are amazing, the animation is good for the time period, the plot line is great, and the movie has aged incredibly well. All in my opinion of course.

My favorite <3 it's a masterpiece. It was ahead of its time in terms of art. Iconic characters, pretty animation, charming music, a great heroine, funny side characters. It really doesn't get the appreciation it deserves. even if people found it boring, they ought to at least appreciate the hard work that went into it.

The movie of my childhood! Ah, sweet nostalgia... It makes me immune to this movie's flaws. Yes, it has a lot of filler. Yes, the animation is below Disney's usual quality. And yes, the age is starting to show. But it'll never be forgotten, because it was a great achievement for cinema and for the animation industry, because it was the first animated movie ro use this technique. A lot of the scenes, in particular the Queen's transformation, are iconic.
Personally, I think one aspect of this movie that is often overlooked is its mysterious tone. Who are the Seven Dwarfs? Why do they dig, why do they live together and what is their relationship? Is the King dead? Why do we never see the palace's servants and the townspeople? And how far do the Queen's powers extend?
It's a classic story, sweet and simple, that will never fail to bring a smile to your face.

Everyone always complains about Frozen being overly modern, saying that it will be dated in only a few years. That is exactly how I feel about Snow White.

It was certainly a product of its time. Everything in the movie reeks of the 30s, and while some find it charming, I think it's rather dull and unrelatable. The movie drags. It feels like a series of shorts, which doesn't work for me. The humor also doesn't hold up well in modern times, what with Dopey looking and acting like a man with Down Syndrome. In today's society, we generally acknowledge that it isn't fair to use the mentally disabled as comic relief. On top of all of that, we're stuck with a bland protagonist who has a grating voice, a vague prince, lackluster music, and an unrefined plot.

While I do appreciate the work that went into it, as well as the movie being a springboard for the rest of Disney's movies, I can't bring myself to like Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

^ He has many of the same features. To be fair, I didn't initially realize it myself. My best friend, who has a cousin with DS, first pointed it out to me, so I did a little digging.

She's not the only one to have realized it. Case in point: link, link, and so on. It's pretty troubling.

^Interesting. I can see the simmilarities, but I think they are coincidences and that Disney didn't intend to make a character with DS. They just went with a cute, sweet design and wanted the character to be goofy and lovable. I think that's all and there's nothing harmful (in fact, the first article had a very positive view on it. I unfortunately can't read inside the book of the second link). Why don't you make a poll about it? I think it would be interesting to see other points of view.

Btw, the blog writer calls Happy and Grumpy bipolar. Um... No? That's not the correct use of the world, what she means is "polar opposites".
