when I was little I kinda wanted to be Ariel but only because she was a mermaid. I really wanted to be Anastasia because I always thought she was beautiful with a beautiful singing voice, a cute puppy, beautiful outfits (besides the orphanage one), she had awesome songs in her movie and an awesome plot, and a really cute boyfriend. But now that I think about it...I
m super glad I'm not Anastasia because I would hate to have lost my family and memory and having a psychopath trying to kill me

Far more than any other character, my role model was Mork from Mork and Mindy. I was a science fiction fan.

Other characters I wish I were included Arthur Dent, Luke Skywalker, Avon, and the Doctor.

The only non-science fiction character that comes to mind was Indiana Jones, but Raiders was an SFX movie like Star Wars. Also, it was mainly because I had a crush on Marion. I was so annoyed that she wasn't in the Temple of Doom that I never watched it (still haven't, after all these decades).

I wanted to be Aladdin. However I also wanted to be Ariel and Melody even though they're girls and I'm a boy.

I wanted to be ariel because she was a mermaid...even though I can not swim....of course I also wanted to join the circus and be a trapeeze artist or tight rope walker too and I am afriad of heights...

SweetPea2007 your second option sounds like Madellaine from The Hunchback of Notre Dame 2. She's in the circus and wants to walk the tight rope but is clumsy and afraid of heights. Though she never was a trapeeze artist, she was just the lovely assistant; her boss said "Your job is to stand there and look pretty".

I only have two memories of pretending to be a Disney Character- John Smith, and Prince Eric. Both saving someone.

KataraLover I still have not seen all of that movie, but my dream came from watching the Barnum and Bailey circus on TV as a kid...I loved when it came on and I would pretend in my living room that I was performing with them (then I saw my first circus in person when I was 19 or 20 and was very disappointed)I also "skated" in my living room pretending I was in the Olympics...now I watch my girls play and pretend in my living room...:)

SweetPea2007 I kind of figured you haven't watched it, hardly anyone has or knows Madellaine. Most people who watch it hate but I don't know I just love it. Plus Madellaine is a great role model for both boys and girls, she's very relatable and so gorgeous. Though I have to say I never heard of that show.

I like Madellaine! I wanted to live in Cinderella's palace so I think I wanted to be her. I also wanted to be Odette from the Swan Princess but mainly Cinderella.

starlight77 yeah I also wanted to be Odette even though I'm a boy. I just loved the idea of turning into a swan and being able to both fly and swim. Plus I always wanted to see what it would be like to experiece her transformation, it would be amazing.

Oh lord yes....I wanted to be Cinderella. Then when The Little Mermaid came out I wanted to be Ariel. Then when Beauty and the Beast came out I wanted to be Belle. It stopped there...I never wanted to be Jasmine or Pocahontas.

They used to have T.V. specials of it in the 80's and I think 90's (I am not sure about that) when I was little...It either came on ABC or CBS (they were the only 2 channels we got until I left home at 19 and my parents got cable)....It was really neat to watch!
I have seen bits and pieces of Hunchback 2 but I was an adult and did not really get into it and have not had a desire to ever watch it fully...I might one day watch it with my girls...maybe...

When I was very little I wanted to be Aurora because she was so pretty and she had animal friends. When I got older I wanted to be Ariel because she's a MERMAID. Then I saw Aladdin and I wanted to be Jasmine because she has a magic carpet and lives in a really amazing world. Then I wish I was Belle because her story is amazing. Now, I wish I was either Ariel or Jasmine because it would be AMAZING to be a mermaid but it would also be really awesome to live in an ancient world of the middle east

Actually, I thought I was Batman, and I remember running around when I was like 3 in my Batman costume shouting "BATMAN DOES NOT WASH, GET BACK VILLAIN!" at my mother.

I wanted to be Pocahontas or Esmerelda when I grew up. They were both strong, and brave and beautiful!
