First of all, I would like to say huge THANK toi to all of you, who participated in the countdown, and especially to those of you, who left comments.

Here are the results of Best Villain Defeat Countdown as of June 2011.

10. Ratcliffe's defeat

The problem with this defeat was that the viewers are left with the feeling that the villain did not get what he deserved. Sure he's to go to prison and all, but this does not seem to outweigh the fact that he almost started a war and wounded a person.

This movie is my favori Disney movie. It will always have a special place in my heart. I don't think Disney can come up a better movie. Everytime I watch it, it does something to me that no other Disney movie does. I don't know how to explain it. It makes me feel all happy inside when it's over. The part when Snow White dies and all the dwarfs and forrest animaux gather at Snow Whites coffin and cry makes me cry everytime. Another reason, it's so special to me is because it's disneys original movie. I absolutely adore all the charecters in the movie. It has my favori princess (Snow White),...

 Who will be my #1?
Who will be my #1?
I've been on fanpop a few months now and I've read a lot of people's articles about their favori princesses. They've inspired me to write one of my own! (If toi haven't seen "Tangled" yet toi might want to skip the Rapunzel part)

10. Aurora

While I do like Aurora, I find her to be a bit boring. I think her lack of screen time is a big factor to that for me - there's not enough time to really get to know her as a character. I think Aurora is very beautiful but that's all she really has going for her in my opinion. I just don't find her as exciting/lively as the other princesses. On a...

You know the deal by now. I write, you read, someone comments.
I thought I may as well.
I know absolutely jack shit about musique and chant and all the technical stuff... This is just based on which is the nicest to listen to.
Plus, I have nothing to do. It's a Saturday and the only thing planned is lol'ing at Jessi Slaughter and finishing this stupidly easy mixed crossover video. Pfft.
So, yes, hmm. I would put a swearing warning, but there's no real need anymore.
On with the countdown?

8) Belle
I want adventure in the great wide somewhere... It's just too bad that I'm not cut out for it because I can't even be bothered to go out and find any adventure, let alone experience it.

Megara

Caricature / Gerald Scarfe

Now granted, Megara is not an official Disney Princess but I figure she is a prime example of caricature in a Disney film and where that overpowering style took little regard for the time period in which the story takes place. If animators attempted to use the art of caricature in Aladdin the film Hercules took it to the fullest extent.

Princess: Ariel

Art Style: Disney Renaissance / Neo Classicism

As the first Disney film of the Disney Renaissance, in a way this film epitomizes the look of the modern animated feature. While The Little Mermaid defies and global, ensemble classification, it does however reference a number of pre-existing artworks.

The story of the Little Mermaid had become so populaire in the early 1900s that a ballet was written. Shortly after, artist link was commissioned to sculpt the story's main character in bronze. While...

Basically I'm going to address what people tend to think about the princesses, when it is indeed not true, ou at least not entirely.

Snow White
Can't really say anything about Snow White. People are really dead on about her. She sweet, caring, joyful, old fashioned and kinda stupid. I wish I could defend her but I can't. All the negative stuff people say about Snow are completely true, as well as the positive. The only misconception I can come up with, is that everyone thinks she's happy all the time. But there's one scene where she's crying but she almost immediately bounces back. So,...

I think I have rarely seen a movie as overrated as “Brave”. Hell, the thing got a freaking Oscar, and while I know which kind of politics were in play for that atrocity, it is frustrating to see this movie getting the critical acclaim over something as creative as “Wreck it Ralph”. They can talk about Merida’s hair as much as they want, the movie who should have gotten the awards for this one was “Tangled”, because that was the movie for which the software which was developed further in “Brave” was invented.

I disliked the idea of Merida in the Line-Up from the get-go, too....

Why must they all be so lovable?
Why must they all be so lovable?

Oh my God...why can't my liste ever stay the same! I swear, I feel like it's constantly changing...what am I saying; IT IS constantly changing. I can't help it! Each time I watch one of their movies, my opinion changes. Let me get one thing straight...I do not dislike ANY of them. There are some that I just LOVE, and others I just "like". So don't be offended if toi find your favori Princess low on my list. I like her...just the others a little more.

10. Tiana (#9 on my last list)

10.Beast gives Belle the bibliothèque

This bibliothèque is KICK ASS. Seriously, when I was a kid I wanted to run through it and open every book, climb all the ladders. It's like Chuck E. Cheese for nerds. The majesty and enormity of the room astounded me, but the fact the Beast can't read makes me think this room is just a big slap in the face :D Anyway, the scene is wonderful, but not as important as others.

"...this scene is cute, but to me it is not as significant." (ppgbelle4)

"To compare this scene with others, it's less important. Sure, it's sweet, but... Oh... It's impossible to pick one....

Reasons For the Disney women that is not apart of the Disney Princess Line-up

Here are the reasons on why the 2D animation Disney Heroines toi really want to be apart the Disney Princess line-up, but they are not.

Melody
Why she should be apart of the line-up:
Daughter of a Disney Princess (Melody is Ariel’s daughter)
An actual princess
She was able to fight the main antagonist even though Melody is 12
Why she isn’t part of the line-up
She’s a sequel character, Disney sequels aren’t really worshiped especially if they are hand drawn animation sequels
If there are 2 sirènes in the Disney princess...

Yes, yes, Elsa is technically a queen, yadda yadda. Well, one, she was a princess in the movie, and second, if Mulan, who is not a princess in any way, can be called one, I am calling Elsa a princess too.

I'll do a proper La Reine des Neiges review soon when I can (although plenty of toi beat me to it- I was only able to see it Tuesday and am just now accueil with the Internet accessible), but for now, I want to just talk about my two favori things about the movie (well, besides all that snow): Elsa and Anna. I'd l’amour to do this the way RhythmicMagic does, with positive/negative/border/neutral traits, but...

This took a lot of thinking. I think I changed my mind like 31364684321354652 times, but here we have it! Magicfairydust's prettiest Disney princesses. I took into account what the princesses could look like at their prettiest, and also what they usually look like. It was pretty close :)

10. Pocahontas
I know, I know, I KNOW! SHOCKER! but tbh, I really don't think she's THAT gorgeous! I mean, I think she's beautiful in her own way, and she's very exotic, but she just doesn't have enough absolutely gorgeous shots. Oh gosh, I'm going to get so much hate for this one. She has the best body out...

I still continuously see people remarking on Pocahontas "lack of personality." It has been a little plus uncommon, but just for the other nonbelievers, I decided to write this. I know many will beg to differ, but it's just the way I see it. If toi have any reason to disagree, go ahead and leave a comment. I'm up to defend her. XD Okay, I'll quit rambling on and actually start the article.

The Start

We first begin to see Pocahontas' personality in the very beginning. She leaves us with a lasting first impression. We can see how she is connected to nature from the very start. Seeing her jump off...

The countdown is over and the results are in! DP club fans have voted for their favori landscapes in DP movies. Surprisingly fans were plus divided for choosing the lower ranks and had almost a united say about the haut, retour au début ones. Here are the results. Hope you'll enjoy.

11. Princess and The Frog
I was a little surprised to see it leave first. I know its not much liked around here but I thought having Cendrillon and Snow White and Seven Dwarfs around, this might just skip being eliminated first. Well, I was wrong. fans didn't really find the bayou magical and swamps looked garish and dull to them....

 13th Place
13th Place
My opinions change every few years. One thing that hasn't changed yet is the haut, retour au début three. I can switch them around but no other princess has become apart of the trio and none of the trio have fallen to 4th place ou lower. This isn't just about DP fashion, character personalities and my personal favourites. It's about relation. If a particular style is similar to my own comfort zone, type of clothing, clothing colours, etc. I will commentaire on it. Enjoy!

Happy (belated) Mothers’ Day, fanpop! I meant to post this yesterday but got busy. In honor of Mothers' jour this month, I've put together a ranking of how I imagine the princesses themselves would be as mothers. I’m including Anna and Elsa in this list, though instead of assigning them a number their names will be placed in parentheses where they would fall on the list, in an effort to keep those who don’t like seeing them on DP lists happy. Let me preface this par saying this is not set in stone. it's just a prediction based on what I've seen of the princesses in their movies. I don’t...
