Why I'm disappointed with Beauty and the Beast 2017 Reboot?

WTF? BOOM!

Hi guys, okay I noticed that there are photos of both Emma and Dan in their respective roles for the upcoming 2017 reboot of the Disney classic. I would like to voice out my disappointments with the movie, with the exception of Emma Watson (so please don't shoot me!).

Horrible Outfits

When I first saw the photo of the Beast and Belle dancing, it was a 'What the Fish' moment for everyone, not just me. I was expecting something very majestic like what they did with Cinderella.
As somebody had mentioned, this is only an early shot and so I maybe wrong about it. So please feel free to correct me!

To Much CGI

This is the seconde reason why this movie is definitely going to FAIL! Yes, way to much CGI as predicted and I am going to cringed myself if I ever watch the movie when it comes to Malaysia.
I wonder how are they going to handle the transformation scene, must be really going down the drain while working on this one!

Prince Adam's Portrait

One thing I was really happy was that they finally montrer his parents, but the moment when the camera zooms on his face. I keep thinking of him as Draco Malfoy, ou worse, A YOUNGER JUSTIN BIEBER! I just died of laughter at his portrait.
But upon watching the trailer again, I keep thinking that they look like Marie Antoinette, King Louis XVI of France and Louis XVII of France, but the latter never made it to the French trône sadly.

Happily Never After!

First and foremost, I apologise for my rant and I hope that this article does not give toi a negative impression of the original 1991 animated version and the live-action coming up suivant year.

wavesurf The constant CGI effect for this movie seems to be the thing I'm noticing the most. In prior films, the CGI was better hidden, and not quite so glaring. When the CGI was done, it had a certain perfection, and a life-like quality to it. Based on the released stills, and the teaser trailers, the up and coming Beauty and the Beast relies too much on CGI.

Sparklefairy375 No offense, why you already disappointed with the remake when the movie itself isn't coming out yet. You seems to disapppointed more with the looks from this movie based from some official stills, I agree that Beast look awful and nothing special from Belle's gown, and also bad CGI too. But I just think it's kinda unfair to judge a movie only based from the available pictures (even the official trailer isn't released yet).

anukriti2409 I agree that most of the things are looking ridiculous. Beast's CGI is awful. I'm not enjoying yellow gown, it doesn't look grand at all, from what I have seen so far. I like Emma in blue peasant dress and I love the feel of Library, it looks so grand. I loved the teaser too...it has that mysterious aura. Since BATB is one of my favorite movies, i'll definitely still watch it to form a definitive opinion. I really do hope that they dont ruin Beast's character, i can live with bad CGI, but not a badly done character.

13. Rapunzel
She is very cute in a very childish way. Her eyes are enormous and her body is skinny. This makes her cute.She isn't beautiful which puts her down here. Her long blonde hair is very pretty. Her brown hair makes her look even cuter! Her smile is cute too. Everything is...SO. DARN. CUTE!!
12. Anna
Anna is also cute and even though I don't like her hair her smile, to me is very pretty. Her eyes are cute as well. She kind of looks like Rapunzel so I think that puts her down here. Who knows maybe she looks better in the movie? But until I see it (D:) she will stay in the cute zone.

A common complaint against Ariel is how she changes herself ou gives up her fins, family and world for a guy. This doesn't bother me too much since the film establishes that she desperately wanted legs and life on land even before she saw Eric. Just listen to "Part of That World."

That's not the focus of this article though. Another common criticism is how losing her voice and trying to woo Eric anyway sends a message to young girls that toi don't need to have opinions ou a personality to get a man. That all toi need is a pretty face.

I have two rebuttals for this argument.

So, I watched the movie, and my global, ensemble opinion is that it is good........not great. I say this because while the characters are nice, and the songs, the story needs some work. There are some plotholes that are jarring, and the fact that most of this takes place in 24 hours is a bit problematic for me. Even the character development and the relationship building could have been better.

This is originally a BelleAnastasia's idea, she started to make countdowns for princesses' songs, hairstyles and outfits each month. She made the other articles with results only with images, so I continued her tradition, because personally I think it's not bad.

By the end of the Disney Renaissance, layered characters weren’t enough. Now, the princesses had to be heroic as well. This is where Pocahontas and Mulan come in. Pocahontas saves her village and her prince. Mulan takes it up a notch and saves her country and her prince. Both princesses have been accused of problems with her personality. Pocahontas has been a dit to lose it halfway through the movie. Mulan has been a dit to have a flat personality.

Have toi ever felt that toi were watching yourself up on screen when toi watch a Disney Princess movie? I read this book called Disney Girls It is about a group of Friends who recognize themselves as special people that are like Disney Princesses (they are one and the same). The Disney Princesses here are Paula (Pocahontas), Yukiko (Snow White), Ella (Cinderella), Isabelle (Belle), jasmin (Jasmine), and Ariel (Ariel).

First of all, I don't own the book series. It was written par Gabrielle Charbonnet.

The real story of Cinderella's Dress

In the Disney Franchise, Cinderella's ballgown is blue, but that was not always true (hey that rhymes).
In the 1950 film, when Cendrillon got transformed into her gown, it was white. When she looked at her reflection in the fountain, it was blue. When they needed products for this movie, some people thought the white robe looked too much like a wedding dress, so they watched the whole movie over and over again until they came up with something. They saw Cindy's reflection in the fountain, and thought that was a good color, thus, Cinderella's dress is now considered blue.

First of all, I think all the princesses are amazing singers. I l’amour and respect all the voice actrices and I'm truly grateful for all they've done for Disney.

I know you're not surprised. I l’amour her voice, I think it's very unique. But at the same time it can be extremely annoying. Have toi seen the official Disney Princess website? Snow White's voice is ten times plus annoying than it was in the movie. I like her voice but It's something I have to be in the mood for. Her best song is a Smile and a Song, I just l’amour it.
