I wish she was like this in the film!!!!
I wish she was like this in the film!!!!
Hi guys, while I had written about both versions of Disney's Cinderella. I thought that I write about both Sleeping Beauty and Maleficent, unlike Cinderella, both stories are based on different perspectives from 2 different characters. I thought that this article would be somewhat a bit different. Also, in this article I'll also be telling what I like & dislike about both films like what I did with Cinderella. If toi guys disagree, I don't mind at all.

The Prologue

Okay, I felt that the prologue itself was actually base on Maleficent's childhood and it was when I started thinking "since when did Maleficent has wings?". I also thought that it was a backstory of how she became a vengeful person!
However, in the original 1959 version, she doesn't have wings during her introduction and she just appear in front of the family and their subjects during Aurora's baptism. I always thought she has magical powers since her childhood days. (1959 version)

Maleficent's Personality & Appearance

One of the things I was very disappointed about was that, after she put the curse on Princess Aurora. The filmmakers sorta like tone down her character very much like what they did with Elsa in Disney's Frozen! However, unlike Elsa. Maleficent was a villain from the very start.
As I mentioned in the prologue, I always thought that she was retaliating against King Stefan par putting the curse on his daughter.
Speaking of appearance, why is Maleficent all white? When in the original, she's all green and has yellow eyes. Her speaking voice doesn't capture the same quality as Eleanor Audley with that British accent she voiced the evil fairy. (1959 version)

King Stefan

Another major disappointed moment for me, was that they turn him from a good guy into another Hans wannabe. ou I shall I say that, it IS Hans jouer la comédie as King Stefan! He was a good ally of Maleficent until he became a baddie! ou worse, a psychopath as time goes by. He doesn't even care about his wife dying from an unspecified illness, he just let her suffered and died.
In the original 1959, he was just a minor character who cares about his wife & daughter. He was also pretty harmless and would never kill Maleficent personally! (1959 version)

Princess Aurora

I was very happy that she gets plus screen-time than her animated counterpart, her personality is plus bouncy and cheerful like her namesake animated counterpart. (tied)

The 3 Fairies

They are the worse batch EVER!!!! They suddenly become way to goofy and comical fuse into one. They are NOT as wiseful as they are portray in the original 1959 version.
Secondly, what's up with their new names? Is it because the filmmakers wanted us to get confuse with their new names ou something??? I seriously don't believe it. (1959 version)

Conclusion

Unlike Cinderella, the winner of this article goes to the original 1959 version. Although I do give Elle Fanning plus credit for her portrayal of Aurora, Maleficent is considered my least favourite Disney live-action reboot ever!
Wow! He does look like Hans!!!

I must find a way to be with him.
If I can’t have him, my world will always be grim.
No one I know will understand.
They all hate the land.
But it’s all I can ever think about.
I would l’amour it up there, I have no doubt.
Especially to be in his arms,
Getting Lost in all of his charms.
Only then will I be satisfied.
Knowing that from now on it’s with him I’ll reside.
I long to be in his arms and to dance!
And find myself in a lover’s trance.
I must find someone who will help me with my plea,
Until then I will be miserable under the sea.
My completely new, updated favori princess liste is coming soon, I promise. In the meantime, since it is Disney princess songs month, I decided to do an article on my favori Disney song from each Disney movie. Just a quick, fun article - I hope toi like it!

Snow White & the Seven Dwarves - I'm Wishing/One Song
I adore this song - it would probably be on my haut, retour au début 10 favori Disney songs if I had an organized. It's so sweet, I l’amour Snow White's little solo at the beginning with the well echoing back to her, but the Prince's voice is just gorgeous & I l’amour the way he sings to her. It's...

In honor of it being Disney Princess Songs Month, I wanted to write a liste of my favori songs. This was incredibly difficult for me, because I really l’amour so many of the songs. To make it a little easier, I divided the songs up into different categories.  I don't have a whole lot of time on my hands right now because I'm moving, so I decided to do this one first. I didn't include EVERY reprise; just the ones that I personally love...

7. Once Upon A Dream (Third-prise)

This is a countdown of Magic Princess' favori non-traditional/peasant/regular outfits from the DPs!
(Note: Pocahontas and Rapunzel is not included because Poca wore one dress and Punzie wore her Traditional dress but later wore a plus princess dress at the end)

8. Snow White's Maid/Peasant dress:
This dress to me is not the best. I know that she was treated badly and that the Queen tried to hide her beauty with this outfit, but this dress is just BLEEUUUGHHHH for me :)

7. Jasmine's Peasant disguise:
This. Outfit. BLEEUUGHH! Sure she's trying to be a peasant but couldn't she dress a bit...

I've seen other peoples' articles and thought I should do one! BTW This is my first article!Yay!! Enjoy :D

10. Snow White and the Prince
Their kiss, for me, was a bit dull, boring and quick. It lacked emotion and passion but it is still a classic kiss.

9. Cendrillon and Prince Charming
The end Kiss was CLASSIC but it was boring and lacked emotion but it was still a beautiful ending to a beautiful story!

8. Sorry if I'm bashing out at the classic princesses! Aurora's Kiss had a drop of intensity in it and I l’amour how she brightens up after the kiss! It is truly a CLASSIC kiss!

Now I know this is an exclusively Disney Princess page but I felt like before I start my articles on the films themselves that an introduction was in order and what better way to do that then do an article on the man who started it all, enjoy!

Walter Elias Disney was born on December 5, 1901 to Elias and Flora Disney in Kansas. He had three older brothers (but one died before he was born) and a younger sister. He was closest to his brother Roy Oliver Disney who worked with Walt on their father’s farm. Walt eventually dropped out of high school and joined the Red traverser, croix where he drove an ambulance...

These are my guesses on the place where the princesses live. Since we aren't told where they live in many of them. I decided to write an article on what nationality I think they are. I guessed Cendrillon and Ariel for the reasons stated below so I thought I would make an article out of it. P.S. Belle, Jasmine, Pocahontas, Mulan and Tiana are not on here because we already know where they are from.

Snow White: Personally, I think she is either German ou Dutch. She is very fair skinned and has dark hair but that isn't my only back up. She wears clogs at the beginning which are traditionally Dutch...

“I can’t leave you.” She whispered.
“You never will,” he said. “No matter what happens, I’ll always be with you, forever.”
    “Forever?” she asked.
“Yes,” he answered. “Even through death.”
“Death,” she cried. “No! John, toi can’t leave me, toi just can’t!”
The darkness overcame her and his whisper disappeared.
“John!” She called for him, but there was no reply. “John! Where are you?! Please...

Since I have been here for a couple months now and have gotten to know everyone better, I thought I would write an article dedicated to my Friends here on fanpop.

Sunnyson wanted to write this article with me because she has been wanting to write this article for a while now too and just wants to say thanks to these people.

Please don't be offended if your not named, we didn't intend to hurt peoples feelings we just wanted to acknowledge them for everything they do. If your not mentioned it's mainly because we don't know toi that much yet, it's nothing personal.

Alright here they are:

Warning: Honestly this article is very harsh and long, and toi shouldn't take anything I say personally, I'm a very blunt, honest person, and sometimes I feel people should have those standards too, I can't understand people who are too nice.

Not all my stress comes from fanpop. I have a lot of stress in real life too now, and I am a huge control freak, so I think I FINALLY reached my breaking point. Now I need to focus on my school work and not the stupid people around me in real life, and fanpop is a distraction as well.
I apologize for what I wrote, I know it's harsh but it's what I...

If toi wonder why the heck do I have to make mention of every thing in my countdowns, well, I hate to left some thing just like that, so here it is:

24. Mulan's soldier tent
Of course that this one is the last. It was made par poor Mulan who just joined the army and wasn't totally herself. It is small, uncomfortable, it looks like it's going to ruin every moment. Oh, and it's right suivant to pond, so it probably stinks and there are mosquitoes too.

23. Pocahontas's longhouse
Someone told me that proper term is longhouse, I hope it is. So what to say, ordinary wooden house with one room,...

The sun rose up into the sky like a glimmering rayon, ray of hope. Many princesses react to a beautiful morning par skipping through the woods, picking fleurs and berries, while chant a l’amour song. Princess pois, pea was not one of those princesses.
"DAMN IT!" she screamed. "Morning already and I'm still in these stupid woods! I must be in freaking China par now." Finally, she saw a narrow path that ended outside the woods. She ran through it and saw a huge, grassy field. There were several white tents. It looked to be some sort of training camp.
Princess pois, pea walked over to one of the tents, it was tied...

Yeah, another article about the theme, but I want to tackle the issue from a somewhat different direction. Mostly the pairings are argued based on how long the pairs know each other (though I don’t really see why three days should be so much better than three hours), and similar details, but I think how well a pairing works is related to what the creator of a movie wanted to achieve. The argument “I don’t believe in l’amour on first sight” is not really constructive if this is the kind of romance the movie makers wanted to create. So I have roughly put the films in four categories.

I don't know if toi guys will find this interesting ou not but I found this off a website called partysupplieshut.com and I found it somewhat interesting and thought I would share.

Disney Princess claims its history as part of the Walt Disney franchise. This series based on prior line ups in Disney films that have contained past Disney Princesses. Those such as Pocohontas, Mulan, Tiana and others come together in this group. There have also been a host of 'unofficial' princesses that have joined the ranks of Disney Princess. Those such as Alice from Alice in Wonderland, Tinker cloche, bell from the...

Putting Princesses in Hogwarts houses sounded first a little bit silly to me – the concept is not even Disney, after all. But I discovered that thinking about in which house they fit best is a good method to explore their characters. This has been done before a couple of times, but I’ll do it a little bit different. First of all, I’ll include the princes too. And second, I won’t stick to just one house with most of them – I’ll declare them as “pure” (meaning no other house is a possibility), “influenced” (meaning a treat of another house is very dominant in them) ou “torn”...
