Okay so I tried to seek others' opinions for this who connect with Merida plus than I do. I realized that there are articles on here for the ranking of every princess except for Merida and I didn't think there should be any reason for her to be excluded. I always found these articles to be so neat though so I hope the Merida-fans will appreciate this. I'm completely open to any changes with plus input.

12. Aurora: General consensus seems to be that Merida would get along with Aurora the absolute least, most likely for their opposite in characters. Aurora rates duty, grace/manners, love/romance very high while Merida has plus outward priorities. They both would've enjoyed the outdoors but Merida would enjoy activities that were plus adrenaline-based than Aurora. Also Merida would feel like Aurora just gave up on her dream/love instead of fighting for it and I don't think Merida would've been very fond of that.


11. Cinderella: Although they both felt trapped, Merida wouldn't relate to Cinderella's quiet way of handling things. Merida would've respected Cendrillon but not shared her romantic dreamy views. Cendrillon is a very efficient and productive person and Merida likes to do things plus on her own time and her own pace. They wouldn't have a lot to relate to in each other.


10. Tiana: Although Merida would see Tiana as obsessed with work, I do think she'd respect that she's going after her dream. Although Tiana is a little plus sassy and Merida a bit plus feisty, they both stand up for themselves and have this in common. I think they would respect each other for this. Aside from that, it doesn't seem like they'd get along too well.


9. Snow White: The main concern here would be that Snow White might remind Merida of her mother too much. Snow White is very maternal and loving but can also be a bit bossy ou direct. These two wouldn't have much in common but Merida would sympathize with Snow for having to run for her life. Snow might find Merida a bit lazy though.


8. Elsa: Not a lot of commentaires on this friendship so it's open to debate. It seems that they might not get along since Elsa is so reserved and Merida is so outspoken. The point Elsa gets above Aurora is that we've seen her interact with someone with an opposite personality in Anna and they got along great. I think Merida and Elsa could have fun together but she'd just get along with a lot of the other girls more. I personally think Merida would've found Elsa's ice powers to be just as cool as Anna did.


7. Belle : While they are both stand up for themselves, Belle is much plus of a book worm than adventurous gal. There wouldn't be a lot that these two would do together but Merida would respect Belle's loyalty to her family, even if she didn't agree with her decisions. I think Merida would appreciate that Belle didn't write the Beast off right away and that she helped him feel comfortable enough to relax and not be so tense. I think Merida would respect the way Belle conducted herself with the Beast and think she was brave.


6. Pocahontas: Most people agree that the #1 thing these 2 have in common is their l’amour for the outdoors. They both l’amour being in nature and drumming to their own beat. They both stand for what they believe in and they both defied their parents in the process.


5. Rapunzel: Although Rapunzel was literally trapped and Merida was not, they could still kind of relate. They both had disagreements with their parents and could relate with that as well. Merida is not as romantic and idealistic as Rapunzel is though.


4. Anna: They certainly both know how to make use of their spare time. While maybe not the most compatible pairing, I do think these two would genuinely get along. Anna has a spunky can-do spirit and would be down to try most challenges that Merida presented, even if Anna couldn't complete them like Merida can. I think Merida would admire Anna's spirit and desire to be plus adventurous so they could bond over this.


3. Ariel: These two would probably have tons of fun getting into mischief together. They both l’amour to explore and get themselves into danger. They'd make a great pair for doing all of the dangerous things that Ariel liked to do in her film. Also Ariel seemed pretty athletic and quick in her film, being able to outrun and outwit the shark. I think they both are very similar in their l’amour for adventure and impulsiveness. They're both very outspoken and l’amour to give their opinion, without much thought into whether ou not it is always the best time, place ou tone. They both found solutions in witches for their problems instead of handling it themselves so in that way they could certainly relate as well.


2 Jasmine: Not a lot of explanation in commentaires but definitely the seconde amount of votes. They are both close to their father and would relate to the tension of wanting to follow their own pursuits rather than old traditions. They both managed to get their parents to change the rules and were therefore pretty revolutionary. Some would argue that they have plus in common than even Merida and Mulan. jasmin is plus romantic than both Merida and Mulan are though.


1. Mulan: This was par far the most populaire choice for Merida's best friend. They are definitely the most athletic in the pack (with Pocahontas being next). They both have a strong l’amour for their fathers but also feel the need to follow their own hearts, wherever that leads. They both are very caring, even if Merida doesn't always montrer it, and they would bond over being the only girls who have handled their own weapons. (Excluding Rapunzel's frying pan.)
