Since Mulan is princess of the month, here some thoughts about which fleur fits her the best. The movie, after all, offers some choices. The most obvious one is the magnolia, since that’s the translation of the name Mulan.

Then there is the white fleur Mulan wears in her hair when she meets the matchmaker – the same fleur she leaves behind when she goes to war. I’m not sure what kind of fleur that’s suppose to be. I first considered lotus (since the lotus is such a reveled fleur in Asia and gets often connected to the gods), but a lotus has plus petals. A white cerise blossom would have exactly five petals, but they would be plus round. There are some similarities with a white magnolia fleur ou a lily, but again, both have plus petals. My best guess is the azalée - a white azalée has five petals, looks very similiar, but even plus important, in China they are a symbol for womanhood (they also symbolize taking care, temperance and fragility, plus ou less everything Mulan is expected to be).

And finally, the most important of all, the fleur her father points out to her. I originally assumed that they are sitting under a cerise arbre – I think mostly because the cerise blossom is such a big deal in Japon and there are festivals surrounding it in China, too. But the “Hanami” in Japon is the one with the long tradition, while China just was inspired par it. Plus, the longer I look at it, the plus I get the impression that those blossoms are supposed to be magnolias.
toi can compare it yourself to the picture of some magnolias at the right, the similiarity is undeniable. Also it would make the whole scene so much plus meaningful, if her father points out a late blooming "Mulan" instead of a aléatoire flower. But the scripts of "Mulan" I have found so far don't specify, there is only "blossoms" written, so unless the animators give an answer, we'll never know for sure.

But I admit I like cerise blossoms better for Mulan, since magnolias are fairly sensitive flowers, and Mulan is everything but sensitive. cerise blossoms have three different meaning in the language of flowers: They stand for a good education, transience of life (Japan) and feminine beauty (China). All those meanings fit Mulan and her story nearly perfectly, although the meaning of magnolias (love of nature) works too.
In the end, I couldn’t really decide - So I made two wallpapers, one with cerise blossoms and one with magnolias, to honor the beauty of a late blooming flower.
Saw an old question posté from a an il y a that inspired me to write this. The question was about which Disney Princesses might make best friends, in pairs, based on commonalities. As I started to think about it, I found all of the commonalities to be quite interesting. So I decided to post my findings of commonalities (not go for the BFF route) just because I found it interesting what the princesses had so much in common. Hope toi guys do too:

Snow & Aurora:
Both were royal but fled to the forest to escape their villains. Both were put under a sleeping spell. Both like to dance and initiate...

Hi everyone! I recently learned about the Bechdel Test from a friend and have been wanting to write this article ever since. This test is, at its core, an analysis of how women are portrayed in populaire culture. It reveals how much women tend to revolve around men in films, books, etc. To pass the test, a film (or any other work of fiction) must meet three requirements: the film must (1) have at least two named female characters (2) who talk to each other (3) about something other than a man. It seems so simple, right? Unfortunately a surprising number of films fail in at least one of these...

This was reposted due to an unwanted and frankly annoying troll spamming my last article

Over the years, I've noticed that people really HATE Aurora in Keys To The Kingdom from Disney Princess Il était une fois Tales: Follow Your Dreams. I've honestly never understood the hate she received, mainly because no one ever freaking EXPLAINS it! I've always asked and they just say "SHE SUCKS," ou "SHE'S A GIRLY STEREOTYPE," ou "SHE HAS A POP VOICE," and all that but they don't EXPLAIN! The reason this version of Aurora is so hated is even less explained than the plot holes in Frozen. First of all, Enchanted...

Okay, so I already did this, but with a different method. This time, I'll just be doing the regular way I always do it. Anyways, please keep in mind that this is my opinion, and we may disagree, so respect my opinion and I'll respect yours.

Enjoy the article! :)

13. Merida
In my opinion, she definitely isn't ugly, but she's not as pretty as the rest of the Disney Princesses here. First, I absolutely l’amour her curly red hair! It's absolutely gorgeous. I also l’amour her eyes, they're very pretty, especially with the blue color to them. However, I do have a problem with her head. Her hair is...

Ok, so I'm going to liste my haut, retour au début 10 favori Disney Princess dresses. Since there's 10 spots, one Princess may be in the liste multiple times and another may not be on it at all. Before my number one I will liste honorable mentions that ALMOST made it onto my list. Time to start the list! Keep in mind that this is my opinion, and toi might not agree. Enjoy the article!

10. Belle's or dress

Maybe it's a tad overrated, but I think it deserves a lot of the attention it gets. It's absolutely gorgeous! Just look at it! And this is coming from someone who hates that color, and even I have to admit...

Darn. I needed a man's help to break this curse! I forgot I was scheduled to 'be a strong independent woman who needs no man' today! I'll have to reschedule for suivant time a curse makes me physically unable to save myself...

All right, this is really part analysis and half rant so if toi dislike the Disney Princesses (and if toi do I don't know why you're here!) ou hate the ones who at any point need a man's help (which is all of them, but I'll get to that later), I don't recommend lire this.

I also must warn you: I discuss stuff about every princess and we have THIRTEEN NOW, so it'll be long. Feel free to skim to your favorites, though, if toi wish, to make it shorter.

A lot of Disney fans and critics alike accuse the Princesses, specifically the older ones, of "sitting around waiting for a prince", "waiting...

I was bored so I decided to write an article about which princesses look like which greek goddesses, since I'm greek and I l’amour the Greek Mythology. Enjoy!

Hera- Jasmine

Firstly, Hera has a serious problem with her temper, like Jasmine. She likes getting revenge and even though we don't see jasmin as revengeful, I believe that if someone hurts her, she won't forget it so easily (besides Aladdin, she forgives him every time, like Hera forgives Zeus). Also, Hera protects women which means she's a feminist, again like Jasmine. Another common, is thei history with their husbands. Zeus...

 Oh, I hate this one
Oh, I hate this one
I know shocking, the so called "Best movie ever" is disliked par me. I know most of toi are like "oh, this chick again here to chienne about some plus stuff." But I don't care I can state my Opinions even if I present them as though they are facts. About Frozen, No, I don't just hate I because it's so populaire but the 'hype' I dislike as well, sorry but I dislike lots of things. Is there a problem? Anyway I recently made a mur post hoping to find someone that could tell me WHY they liked La Reine des Neiges so I could watch it with an Open mind.
