having Damon fall for someone else would completely deconstruct all the development that he has achieved throughout the whole six seasons. and here's why..

1: Damon told elena that SHE was his life. it would make him look extremely shallow if he were to go back on those words now.

2: damon passed through time and space to be WITH elena. try working your way round that one JP.

3: damon promised elena that he would wait for her..., he made her that sacred promise. and it would be extremely selcentred if he were too go back on that.

4: it took damon 145 years too get over kat, and she wasn't even the love of his life. this would be like saying that damon is not capable of real love.

5: for six years now, his relationship with elena grew, they went through everything together. and that's not ever going to be forgotten. damon would look pretty darn fucking selfcentred if he were to do this.

6: elena is NOT dead! she is sleeping. damon falling for someone else, while elena waits for him, unaware that the man she loves and adores is making eyes and love declarations to another woman, is completely disrespectful too both elena, and to damon as a character. as we all know that damon wouldn't look twice at another woman. especially if he PROMISED to wait for elena. its OUTRAGEOUS!!!!

1. I believe Damon thought he was in love with Katherine. Obviously trying to fight for her was a mistake. She loved Stefan.
2. Yes, Elena is sleeping - not dead. My opinion stays the same. Damon should not be sleeping with or having a relationship with another woman. Am I the only one or does the idea of him dying because he couldn't live without Elena sound like a good love story? Like Romeo and Juliet. I would have preferred that against the nonsense Julie Plec is making.

yeah. its one of the main reasons, why im not going to be giving TVD season 7 the time of day. im dreading it, season 7 is coming, and the assassination of damons character is going to be at the center of it. and at the forefront of my mind.

Yeah, I feel the same way. I have been torturing myself with rumours and possibilities for a while. I don't want to see the Damon I loved from the very start, destroyed. After everything that has happened I can't cope with that too.

for the writes to go this with this bullshit idiocy after all that's happened throughout all six seasons with delena, would be the ultimate betrayal too the delena fandom. and it would be catastrophic for the show. hardly anyone would ever take it seriously ever again.
