"There were some other memories too, but I..." he stopped short thinking of the time he was mad at Prentiss for faking her death. "I shouldnt've been so mad at her!" he hissed. Derek put a firm hand on the doc's shoulder. "You couldn't help yourself kid." he comforted. "Thanks." Spencer thanked. Derek grinned a small grin.
"Hey, we SHOULD be going accueil in afew days." Spencer stated changing the subject. "Yeah. This is probably the longest case that we've ever been on." Derek replied. The team had finally caught the unsub earlier that day. "We caught the unsub, now what? We talk to the press?" Spencer pointed out. Derek let out a sly-dog smile. "Not only that, but there's also a secret that needs to be told." he answered still smiling. "What?" Spencer asked confused.
"Blake's birthday is comin' up and the team wanted to throw her a little surprise party." Derek answered. Spencer smiled that time. "I'm all in!" he gladly accepted. "Okay, but DO NOT tell her a thing!" Derek jokingly scolded. Spencer had to let his smile grow. "Don't worry! toi have my word!" Spencer replied. Derek chuckled as he and Spencer went to face the wildness of the Chattanooga press.
Late that night, Spencer couldn't sleep. He kept thinking about whether if he needed to see a sleep therapist ou not. I mean, after all, he was already seeing a doctor for his headaches. *If I see a sleep therapist, my medical bills are gonna go through the roof.* he thought. He looked at the time. 1:35. *Man, it's late!* he thought again.
The doc closed his eyes and tried to sleep. That didn't help. Spencer's eyes flickered open soon after. He sighed. He took a sip of his water and checked on Derek. Derek was sound asleep and snoring quietly. Spencer lied back down and tried not to think.
*I think I'll make a decision when the time finally comes.* he stated to himself. Suddenly, the doc fell into a peaceful sleep. Early the suivant morning, Spencer awoke to no alarm. He looked at the time just to be cautious. 8:05. *WHEW!* Spencer thought. He got up and went to get himself some breakfast.
"Nice to see toi here at breakfast, Spence!" JJ greeted warmly. "Derek's still sleeping and I was hungry." Spencer replied. "Derek's still asleep on a morning like this?" Blake asked stunned. "Yes he is." Spencer answered. The sun was out and there were 0 clouds in the sky that morning. "I hope he wasn't snoring too loudly." JJ a dit as she and Spencer were sitting down. Spencer smiled. "Don't worry JJ, he wasn't." he replied. The two Friends soon began eating breakfast.
