What is the reason why you're a Christian?

My reason for becoming a Christian isn't because of something specific that happened.
I grew up in a Christian household and always went to church. When I was little, I may have thought that I had to be Christian because my parents were; my friend is atheist because her parents are. When I realized at age seven that that wasn't the case, I decided to go without religion for a while. Then when I turned eight, I realized that maybe I needed God and that He wanted me. I wanted someone plus to comfort me and I became a Christian. And I'm glad I did.
Now that I've gone through depression and a bad mental world, I think I made the right decision and I just am. Just as God just is (:

I used to be very sad about my life and lived it like Satan, but one night I cried and asked God if he was still there? I can't explain what happened but its like part of me left my body and I was in this cloudy white room and I heard God say in a gentle voice. "I still l’amour you" since then there is no doubt who God is and his l’amour and kindness for me
