héroïnes des dessins animés de l’enfance Question

Care to share some animation confessions?

Here are some of mine:

1) I'm still impatiently waiting for a Latina Disney princess. I guess there's Sofia and Elena, but they are just in a montrer for little kids so I'm not satisfied.
2) I'd l’amour to see Korra in a bikini (I mean seriously we get to see 14 an olds but not Korra?) and she's the only other girl I'd ever say that about
3) I used to think it was weird and abnormal to be attracted to an animated caracter until 2D came along when I was 13. Funny thing is that he's not what I'm usually into!
4) As much as I hate to say it, I feel like my l’amour for Belle is fading. (she's been my favori DP for years!) BatB is still my favori animated movie, thats for sure!

1) Most of my favori characters aren't that complex ou at least as complex as I make them out to be.

2) I'm not the biggest fan of anime's sense of humor, I always prefered dessins animés in that regard.

3) A sob story doesn't automatically make a character a complex; It usually just has the purpose of grabbing sympathy ou an reason/excuses for doing something awful.Personally sympathy is one of my least favori things in a character. Since it's usually annoying to push a character farther into marry-suedom ou just a sick way to try to let characters get away with stuff.

4)When I watch Polar Express I always think of it as an advertisement for a amusement park since there's at least 4 times when the movie takes a break and toi go in first person view seeing the slides and down hills while in a fast vehicle.

5) La Reine des Neiges is overrated but, I don't think it's as overrated as most people are making it out to be.

I l’amour anime, but yeah their sense of humor is usually not my cup of tea. I completely agree with 3. And what toi a dit about Polar Express was hilarious, I had never thought of that. xD

Thanks! I'm happy toi liked my little joke there, I wasn't expecting anyone to actually find it funny; glad toi did though.

1.I personally think that Anna is plus beautiful than Elsa par far

2.For some reason when I was a kid, I just had this feeling that there was something about Anastasia Tremaine, so it made me happy when she became good in the sequels

3.I l’amour Anastasia (both the movie and the character) but I think her and Dimitri are an awful couple

4.How To Train Your Dragon is a horrible and OVERRATED movie, even plus overrated than Frozen

5.I l’amour Anastasia Tremaine (in the sequels) plus than Cinderella

6.I'm still impatiently waiting for there to be a Disney Princess voiced par Sierra Boggess

7.I don't think Disney sequels are as bad as people make them out to be (especially since I've seen A LOT worse that are REAL TORTURE)

8.Female villains are usually MUCH plus interesting than male villains

9.I'm likely to like ou at least have a soft spot for a movie that isn't very good if it has amazing songs and beautiful animation

10.Tiana and The Princess and The Frog are one of the most underrated Disney films and heroines EVER

Those are just a few that I can think of off the haut, retour au début of my head. I'm surprised I'm the first and only one to answer this. I think this is a fun idea!

Yeah Im suprised too! Its nice to someone that likes the idea! I also agree that Anastasia is a much plus interesting character than Cendrillon

Agreed about TPATF and Tiana! (She's my favori DP and one of my favori animated CAHMs in general)

I agree with toi about female villains being interesting than males. And I also agree about Tiana and her movie being very underrated. I always found that sad.

1. I think The Princess and the Frog is the best thing Disney has done in the last decade (at least). Best soundtrack too, imo, after Hunchback

2. I'm glad Disney never touched The Prince of Egypt, an idea that was constantly pitched to Disney before Katzenberg left. There'd probably be wisecracking camels and whatnot.

3. I have weird hangups about talking animals. I just can't get into them. Except for rayon, ray the firefly.

4. CGI people look awful for the most part; body proportions in CGI are so weird. I like 2D better.

5. I didn't mind The Black Cauldron and I don't get why everyone hates it.

6. I like Nani better than any of the DPs.

7. How To Train Your Dragon has great scenery -- Berk is gorgeous -- but the plot and characterization are soooo stale. Misfit nerd becomes hero and wins hot angry girl. Ugh.

8. Treasure Planet is the bomb.

9. I have no special l’amour for the Disney Renaissance films.

10. My favori character in The Hunchback of Notre Dame is Clopin the gypsy king -- actually, he's one of my favori animated characters overall. Not to knock the main four, I just thought he was plus interesting.

1) Besides the songs and the animation, I have no idea why I l’amour Anastasia (the movie) so much.

2) The songs from the Hunchback of Notre Dame and the Prince of Egypt make me cry, even when they're not sad.

3) I don't want Disney to ever stop making Disney Princesses.

4) I hate The cygne Princess.

I haven't seen the cygne Princess in yeeeears. I think I'll have to go rewatch it before I can say anything about it. It seems to have a pretty hit-or-miss reputation here though.

Agree with most of this. Anastasia, HOND and Prince of Egypt have wonderful soundtracks.

1) I'll never get the appeal of How to Train Your Dragon. I think people like it only because of the music, the animation and Toothless. Because the story and characters are super cliché (like UnholyNoise said).

2) Rise of the Guardians is my favori Dreamworks film and I think it's their seconde best film (the first one being Prince of Egypt). The pacing and the villain are a little underwhelming, but everything else is perfect.

3) Crysta and Kayley are my least favori animated heroines. I can't stand either of them ou their movies.

4) Technically I tend to like the plus obscure non-Disney animated films over the plus well known ones. I like Anastasia and cygne Princess fine, but I'm a complete sucker for the Last Unicorn, A Monster in Paris and the Secret of Kells.

5) I thought the Book of Life, while pretty, wasn't anything innovative. The characters were big cliches and the story was quite messy. (one minute it was about animal rights, then it was about the jour of the dead, then it was about the l’amour triangle, etc etc) I still like the movie, though, but I think people overrated this movie in the promotion of the film.

6) CGI humans will always look weird to me.

I completely agree with 1) and 2). Also, oh my God toi l’amour a Monster in Paris? I adore that movie!

aww, why Crysta? I haven't seen QTC in ages but Kayley does sound a little annoying. I agree on TBoL except I kinda liked LaMuerte and Joaquin, because he was sort of a male Charlotte, seemingly a selfish person but actually good-hearted.

I disagree with a lot of this. I think HTTYD is very good, but overrated (as much as I don't like to use that word). I adore both Kayley and Crysta, not to mention their movies. I still haven't seen The Book of Life.

1. Snow White is my favori DP even though she's the least popular.

2. I like the Mickey souris and Friends franchise and the Disney Villains franchise both better than the Disney Princess franchise.

3. I don't like the character Anastasia ou her movie, and I hate Dimtri.

4. I don't like the movie Tangled, Rapunzel is my least favori DP, and I hate Flynn Rider.

5. Prince Charming from Cendrillon is my most handsome animated hero.

6. King Triton is my sexist animated male.

7. I prefer films that take place in modern time, to fairytales.

8. I usually like the villains, heroes, and sidekicks over the heroines.

9. I usually like parental figure characters plus than child/teenage characters.

10. I prefer stories that focus non-romantic friendship relationships, over romance stories (mostly because I'm asexual)

Actually, I'd say that Merida is the least popular.I hate Dimitri too. The Prince Charming being your most handsome animated hero I most definitely didn't see coming.

Really Meridia is the least popular? Because in all the votes I've seen Snow White seems to be the least popular. And Yeah everybody is surprised when I tell them about Charming being my most handsome hero. I think he looks really good in the third movie.

I also prefer non-romantic stuff. ou stories where it takes a backseat to the mian story. I really wish the DP franchise put plus emphasis on human firendships -- so far only Tiana and Poca have one.

1. Gothel is a plus interesting character than Rapunzel, Flynn, Max, ou any of the other 'heroes' (yeah, I don't think many of them act particularly heroic).

2. With the latest heroine in any movie, the trailers always brag about how she's "not a typical girl" and shows her doing cool action-y things and it makes me roll my eyes. Why can't we have some wimpy women for once? I assure you, filmmakers, a lot of us girls are as wimpy.

3. I don't get everyone's huge l’amour affair with the 90s heroines. Not just the princesses, but Anastasia, Esmeralda, etc. People treat that whole decade like a godsend when most of the heroines aren't that different from each other and are always shoved at the audience as a 'strong female character' and the role model toi HAVE to like just because she expresses herself loudly. I don't think personality-wise it was quite as diverse as people make it seem.

4. I know SJWs put a LOT of pressure on companies like Disney, Dreamworks, etc. to do this but I wish they'd stop trying so hard to make nonwhite heroines so perfect. Let them have weaknesses and stop trying to force them to be role mannequins who are always right and tough and smart. I think this might be a big reason why the nonwhite heroines, which the exception of jasmin sometimes, are way plus respected than the white ones (except for Belle, Rapunzel and Meg). So some people will screech- who cares? Worry about good characters, not political correctness. I think Jasmine, Nani, Penny Proud and Nakoma are good examples of realistic heroines not affected par Strong Female Character Syndrome. Well, jasmin is a bit, but she's far from perfectly tough and independent so I'll excuse her.

5. Everyone thinks their favori heroine is complex. I don't think all are and that's OK. I just wish plus people were honest about it. I don't think Snow White ou Alice are very complex and I couldn't care less because I think they're great characters.

6. I think Sleeping Beauty as a whole is underrated. Some people call it overrated and I don't know why because almost nobody talks about how great it is, ou at all. The animation and musique are great and I l’amour the characters. I think especially that its female narrative is underappreciated. films don't need women using weapons ou anything to be pro-woman. SB has a diverse cast of women, with 3 having housewifely, doting personalities no less, for example.

I think you're kind of phrasing it wrong with the whole "wimpy girls" thing. I think a better way of putting it is passive because a passive character can still be strong, in words and emotion like Cendrillon ou Odette, without being an action girl. Wimpy female characters sounds like a character who lets people walk over them and has no backbone ou likable qualities, which is not a good character. Though I have to say that you're pretty prejudice again action girl characters. Yes, they're done A LOT nowadays but it's not like before then that we didn't have passive characters. There are actually MUCH plus passive female characters in literature history because action females didn't appear until comic livres and The Little Mermaid. I don't care if a character is an action character ou a passive character, as long as they have appealing personalities. There are characters I dislike ou even hate that are action characters because their personalities aren't likable to me. Just my opinion, sorry for ranting.
