château Question

A lot of people on the fan spot for the montrer Bones are trying to claim that château is a cheap trashy remake of Bones, this is one of the least true things I've ever heard, what are your opinions?

I think it's stupid when people try to claim that and it really annoys me, I don't even see where they could get that idea.

I agree. I'm a BIG Bones fan...from the beginning and château too, but château is really different from Bones. It's way plus comedy, their relationship is just different, etc, etc.
The only thing in common is that both the "cops" work with someone who's not a cop and that there's sexual tension. I really don't see that much similarities....

Just adding similarities: château writes crime novel so does Brennan,Beckets mother was murdered so was Brennens,Beckets dad is still alive so is Brennans, there was an episode based on the murders in their books, strong willed mostly seriouse female carachters ,brave and witty male charachters that are willing to risk their life for their female partners, and there are so many plus but I decided not to bore anyone

I am a big Bones fan and a big château fan... but I kind of like château just a little better, partly because it's new and exciting and there's still a lot to learn about the characters.

There ARE several things in common between Bones and Castle, but for me, that just makes it plus interesting. For example, both Bones and château étoile, star former Whedon stars (Boreanaz and Fillion, respectively). Both Bones and château involve writers (Brennan, Castle) and both Bones and château involve solving crimes. They both have a strong-willed, serious (but not always) female lead, and a witty, somewhat goofy (but not always) male lead. There is sexual tension between the leads on both shows.

But if we were to take this to mean that château was a knockoff of Bones, then we'd also have to say that NCIS Enquêtes spéciales is a knockoff of JAG and/or CSI. We'd have to say that Les Experts is a knockoff of Forensic Files.

It's kind of like that crazy commentaire I read par a girl who claimed that "Wolfman" was a knockoff of "New Moon" just because they both involved werewolves. Is the premise of château an old premise? Yes - but it's a premise that works. Which is why shows like Bones and Castle, as well as Law and Order and CSI, and even House, which all use that mix of crime, mystery, quirkiness and sexual tension to draw toi in, are as successful as they are.

NCIS Enquêtes spéciales is actually JAG's sequal, but I still don't really find that just because château and Bones have writers and strong willed females means château is Bones' ripoff

No, château isn't Bones' ripoff. If it were, then we'd have to say that Bones was a ripoff of other male/female detective teams, including Moonlighting and Lawa and Order. These shows have similar formulas, but each one shakes it up and presents it in its own way. On a side note - I just looked it up and you're right - NCIS Enquêtes spéciales is a spin-off of JAG. I'm an idiot. Ah, well, my point still stands.

I have watched one episode of Bones and almost all the episodes of Castle. I l’amour château because it seems to have plus of a balance between the light and dark moments. And I like the humor in Castle. AND not to mention I keep wanting Beckett and château to Kiss AlREADY!

I see where people get it, and that's what some of my Friends have told me too. Yet shows have to start somewhere, and in my opinion, two shows can be almost alike without being the same. Yeah, I see where Bones and château are alike, but no, it's not really a cheap remake.

I have watched only one episode of Bones and it's so different!
I was totally into château the moment I watched my first episode because it has a combination of drama, humour, and crime :) But Bones is plus serious and it doesn't have the humour factor~!
They are two totally different shows...
