It's now the jour before the jour before Christmas for me, about half an heure until 'Christmas Story' begins to play nonstop and as we get closer to the changing of the an and the gathering of the relatives I find that my mind doesn't go to my cousin Megan ou my aunt Linda when I think of the people I don't see often but count as family. I have sort of crossed that invisible barrier and most likely some lines (somewhere) because when I think of the people whom I feel most comfortable being myself around it actually is composed of you. Yes, I'm talking to toi (I rewrite this with every souris click!).
As a whole fanpop is a place where I feel comfortable just being and allowing my rant to roam free, but here, in our Buffy spot (or club as it is now known I believe), I feel that we have a sort of family. We have the wise Cinders and the almighty Debs. The outspoken Nika and the sweet Sam. Ariel is always there with a kind word and fanfly always has a point of view. Joker's there to débats with us and Angie keeps us full of contenty goodness. Jillywinkles, Kelly, and Natalie are always there to give us their POV. Spike_girl has been all about the picks the last few weeks and movy_girl keeps me on my toes in 20 questions and those are just a few members of our family. (I would continue to liste everyone but I would eventually run out of virtual paper). We are always growing and to rejoindre all toi have to do is post alittle commentaire and toi are welcome in with open arms.
toi all know me as a...well, I'm not sure who, but in real life I am plus Tara than most would think and I want to take this time , right now, and thank all of toi for just being you. fanpop is our Sunnydale and here we are, in our bibliothèque ou Magic Box (pick your season) eating our sugary goodness, chant our chorus and arming ourselves with hummus because what else works as a better weapon? - and sharing our passion with those who understand us.
Joss is alway a believer in the idea of a made family, from the Scoobies and AI to the crew of Serenity - family isn't about who toi are related to ou who toi can plot on a arbre but it's composed of those who understand toi and accept toi with all of your flaws and crazy ways of thinking. I don't expect to be counted among many of toi as a 'family' member but I want toi all to know that while we débats the merits of ships, the emotionality of a scene ou even which Buffy dress is best, toi are all included in the extended version of mine.
accueil is where the cœur, coeur is and nothing is as passionate as the heart. My cœur, coeur dwells in my passions for story and narrative, for emotionally and the joyous pain that life is - it dwells in a crypt ou a dorm room with a chocolat poster on the mur where Nerf Herder plays while we eat the flowering onions. I'm glad to share my passion - my heart- with toi all and look foward to feeling it warmed with your own (if we take that literally it's kinda gross, no?).
In short, I wish toi all the happiest of Holidays, the brightest of New Years and I look foward to another an of bugging toi all with rants and observations, theories and inside jokes.
P.S. Santa has the plans for the Spikebots so if you've all been very good little Slayers I'm sure he is on his way. I'm sure the Buffybot is also available...for checkers.....
