Anyone here read 'Little Women'?

I read Little Women. I'm like you, I don't really like that kind of book. I thought of it as cute. It definitely isn't in my haut, retour au début 50. I was kind of bored lire it. Again... it's cute. I read it to my younger sister and she loved it. I think toi just have to enjoy that kind of book to really get into it.

I'm going to be honest, I did not like this book, but then I am not a fan of 'sad' livres and this book was very sad to me. I do have a close friend who loves this as her favori book. It's the story of four sisters growing up and it hits some important life lessons on poverty vs wealth, maturity, sibling rivalry. It was published in 1868 and because of the different style of écriture back then, it was not an easy read for me. Louisa May Alcott had a rough life and a lot of tragedy, which, in my opinion, shows up in her writing. If toi don't mind melancholy and if toi can adjust to the style, then toi may like this book.
