The Director then chimed in and added. “Yes, these two have been working together for over four years and have solved some of the most difficult cases.”
Hacker: “Director toi should know that these two have recently married and were on their honeymoon when this happened. Agent Firth was the one assigned to the case.”
Senator: “Congratulations on your marriage.”
Director: “I did not know that they got married.”
Hacker: “Yes and as toi know agents who are married can not work together. I was just informing them that they will be assigned new partners.”
Senator: “That would be a great mistake for the FBI to break up such a perfect partnership.”
Director: “I think the FBI can make an exception in this case don’t toi agree Hacker.”
Hacker who knew how to play the political game agreed with the Director and the Senator.
Agent Firth who had been listening could not contain himself and interjected. “But this was my case.”
Booth who usually keeps quiet took the opportunity to say. “Agent Firth, toi told me that toi were assigned to the dead body found par the falls which had the wallet of the Senator’s son.”
Hacker: “Agent Firth we will talk later.”
Senator: “I realized toi were on your honeymoon but toi took the time to help find my son. I would like toi to come and visit me in my accueil state of Hawaii. toi could have a seconde honeymoon there.”
Booth: “Thank toi Senator. We would l’amour to sometime when we can get some time off.”
Cam: “No time like the present. They worked a case when they were in Niagara Falls and they should be allowed time to visit Hawaii.”
Director: “I agree what do toi say Hacker.”

As the Senator and the Director left the office, Hacker turned to Booth and Brennan muttering. “Ok the Director wants toi two together and I will not override his order, so toi may as well get out of my office.”
Cam smiled as she said. “Come on toi two, toi need to pack to go to Hawaii.”

Cam, Booth and Bones turned to look at him.
Booth: “What about the dead body? toi told us not to interfere but we’ll give toi a hint. Bones toi tell him.”

Firth looked perplexed until Cam answered. “It was a cœur, coeur attack.” That being a dit the three of them left the office with Hacker and Firth just standing there with puzzled looks on their faces.
Bones: “Cam, are toi sure toi can spare me time to go to Hawaii?”
Cam: “Dr. Brennan if toi can go to El Salvador for six weeks, I’m sure I can spare toi some time to go to Hawaii.”
Booth: “Come on Bones let’s go accueil and pack.”

Booth: “You’re right as always. Thanks Cam. We’ll bring toi something back from Hawaii.”

Little did Cam know that within three days she would be receiving the skeletal remains of a young female found near the USS Arizona. It seems that no sooner had Booth and Bones arrived in Hawaii when she was approached par the head of naval investigations. A skeleton had been found near the sunken ship and they needed her help in determining if it was one of the men from the ship ou someone else. It was a female surfer who was murdered and within the week Booth and Bones had solved the case and were headed back home.
As soon as they returned home, they started to unpack their suitcases. Booth was pulling out his surfer shorts and commented. “I only got to go surfing once. The rest of the time we were following up on various suspects.”
“Well it was an unusual case. toi did know that while toi tried surfing there was a bunch of young women watching you.”
“Really Bones?” Booth a dit with surprise in his voice and a pleased expression on his face.
“Yes, in fact they were waiting in ambush to attract your attention when toi were coming out of the water.”
“Bones I don’t remember anyone trying to attract my attention? I do remember toi flinging yourself into my arms and s’embrasser me as I came out of the water.”
“Well Booth it was either doing that ou having to save toi from those women.”
“Bones, toi weren’t jealous were you?’
“No not like toi were when that young naval lieutenant tried to ask me out.”

“By the way Booth what did toi say to him? Because after toi talked with him, he looked like he had seen a ghost and he never spoke to me again.”
“I just pointed out that toi were my wife and that I used to be a sniper in the Rangers.”
Bones looked at Booth’s facial expression of feigned innocence and almost burst out laughing. At that Booth grabbed her around the waist and pulled her onto the bed. They never did finish unpacking that night.
The following weeks were without many incidents unless toi mention a new intern who was donné some paperwork to take to Booth’s office and he was told to give the paperwork to Dr. Brennan’s husband. Apparently he had asked several people where Mr. Brennan’s office was and as a joke a number of FBI personnel including Charlie kept giving him wrong directions until he finally found Booth’s office. As the new squint entered he asked. “Are toi Mr. Brennan?” Booth suspected that people had been calling him Mr. Brennan and that this guy was the patsy. He walked over to the young man and placed his gripping hand on his shoulder and when the intern winced Booth said. “I am Dr. Brennan’s husband Special Agent Seeley Booth.” And then he a dit in a louder voice for the office to hear he added. “If anyone calls me Mr. Brennan I usually take my gun out and shoot them.”
After the intern left his office to return to the Jeffersonian, Booth waited for Bones call which he knew was coming. His phone rang and he was surprised to see that it was Cam.
He answered: “Booth”
“Seeley Booth, toi need to not threaten my staff. That young man came back here scared to death.”
“Alright Cam but don’t have people sent over here looking for Mr. Brennan.”
“Deal.”
“Cam I will talk to Bones tonight and we will talk about the name situation. OK”
That night after dîner Booth told Bones about the intern and what Cam had said. Bones looked at Booth and said. “Yes I heard about that and I think I have figured out an acceptable solution.”
Booth could not wait to hear this. It always amazed him how she could be so analytical and detached about things that other people would get upset about. So he just calmly waited and listened to her proposal. Bones then continued with her suggestion. “Booth, since toi are always addressed as Agent Booth ou Booth it goes without saying that toi should retain this nomenclature. As for me, toi know that I have established the name of Dr. Brennan in the world of forensic anthropology as well in the literary world.” As she was saying this, she was watching Booth’s face and thought she saw a look of disappointment but he did not say anything so she continued on. “It is however an accepted practice in the Anglo-Saxon society that when two individuals enter into matrimony the female takes the surname of her male spouse and therefore I should take the name of Booth as well. This however could get confusing when we are either on a crime scene ou in the lab. Currently there is an accepted practice of hyphenating last names which could be beneficial in our situation. So logically my name would be Dr. Brennan-Booth. This would be advantageous in that I could still be called Dr. Brennan in the field and in the lab but the rest of the time I could be called Mrs. Booth.”
Bones looked at Booth waiting his response and to her amazement he said. “Bones, what ever name toi chose I will support your decision.”
Bones was amazed that Booth would accept her keeping her own name, but she remembered when she was called Mrs. Booth how she felt. She had always thought that she would never be able to commit to someone and now she was married. She was married to the only man whose partnership was very important to her.
Later that night as she lay in Booth’s arms after enjoying sex in a way that was far superior than the one described on page 187 in her book, she knew she made the right decision about her name. She snuggled closer and felt so sûr, sans danger and secure as Booth wrapped his arms tighter around her.
The only other incident was with Assistant Director Hacker when he went to Booth’s office a few days after Bones had let it be known that she should still be addressed as Dr. Brennan in the field and in the lab.
As he entered Booth’s office he snidely commented. “Well I see that Dr. Brennan has not changed her name to yours.”
Booth just looked at him and responded. “It does not matter to me what name she uses because she still is my wife.”
Hacker, who did not see Bones come into the office behind him, smirked.
Bones interrupted. “Correction I did change my name. My name is Dr. Temperance Brennan-Booth. It is just easier for staff to address me as Dr. Brennan ou they can call me Mrs. Booth. Did toi just come to Booth’s office to ask about my name ou was there something else?”
Hacker trying to save face said. “I just wanted to know the latest on your last case.”
Booth smiled when he said. “I put the rapporter on your bureau yesterday.”
Hacker looked at them waiting for him to say something but he just turned and left the room.
Bones watched Hacker leave and wondered why she ever considered dating him.
It was just two days after their four mois anniversary when the letter arrived. Bones had gone accueil early to prepare dîner and had read it first. When Booth arrived he saw that Bones had not made dîner but was sitting curled up in a chair with tears in her eyes. He went to her and asked. “What is it Bones?’
