Should I get my oiseau d'amour, oiseau de paradis, lovebird a mate???

I have a lovebird, her name is Swellow. She is about 2 1/2 (lovebirds can breed until they are about 7) and we are really close. I play with her alot and teach her tricks. But she seems kind of lonely when I leave accueil for school and when I come back accueil she is always picking at her tail feathers. Plus I don't have as much time to play with her as I used to. But I've heard lovebirds won't want to play with toi anymore if they are in a pair because they will be attached to the other bird. But she seems so lonely sometimes and I don't know what I should do.
