Beauty and the Beast have always been my favori animated movie and it really had a big influence on me as a kid since it was one of the films my parents bought for me when i was a baby.

I think that the reasons i liked it so much is because i was very simple in my view of good and evil, i mean that Belle was a good character and Gaston was a evil character, but the Beast was a character that didn´t fit into my view of good and evil, it was that mystery that sparked my intrest.

Well since I'm a fan of both films, I will be écriture on how similarities both films are.

The Story

Since I grew up with both films, the intro starts off with a musical number that we grew to love. To which I will come to that later on as to how they are connected, as the story goes on. It goes from dark to happiness, especially the seconde half of the film.
The scene where Belle runs down the colline during her song reprise, is a reference to Maria during the opening number. Which is another topic that I will later talk about the character similarities for both Maria and Belle.
