Adam didn't what to think ou feel. First, Belle disappears as soon as her aunt and step-grandmother arrive here and now; he's become the Beast once again.

"Why is this happening?" he asked himself.

"Hello, your highness." Adam jumped, he thought it was Belle, but it wasn't. He knew Belle was not known for saying 'your highness', he turned around and saw, standing in a corner, the enchantress. He growled at her.

"What in heaven's name are toi doing back?" he growled.

The suivant morning came; Maurice was getting everything ready for the arrival of his sister and stepmother. The servants helped out as well, but Belle and Adam didn't do anything. "What did he mean par that?" Maurice asked as he looked at Mrs. Potts, she just had this sad look on her face; she knew what Adam meant par that.

"Nobody can talk about it; it involves his parents." Mrs. Potts explained, "We're not allowed to talk about them."

"Why not?" Maurice asked, but Mrs. Potts looked at him and stayed quiet. She didn't say a word about the issue, she knew how serious Adam took about his parents. When Maurice didn't get anything out of Mrs. Potts, he left it alone and she changed the subject....

As Maurice told the story about his wife, he was flash-backing to when he was much younger with a head full of brown hair in a different village.

He started his story, "I met Veronica when she was doing her piano practices. I peeked in the window of a musique shop; nothing could express how beautiful and wonderful Veronica was when I saw her. In the middle of the night, Belle woke up. Her throat was really dry and she started to cough.

"I need something to drink." Belle groaned, she got up out of the bed, lit a little candle and walked towards the kitchen. As she was walking through halls and stairs, she remembered when she first came to the castle. It was forbidding and dark, no should have been living inside. To Belle, the château was feeling much different from what she was already used to.

Belle walked inside the cuisine and filled a glass with water. She walked back into the ballroom; it was still very warm from the day's excitement....
