fanfly Great find! But why is his scar so...barely noticeable? :/ Jeez, and of course his hair isn't right. I guess the actor didn't want to shave his head/eyebrow off!

Bond_Of_Fury It's Dev Patel, the dude from Slumbog Millionare in case you haven't noticed... I didn't expected him to play Zuko's part, but I think he will do a good job :)

fanfly Yeah, I recognize him- he's not who I would have thought of, but I'm hoping he'll do a good job. He's WAY better than Jesse McCartney- that's for sure!

Amber132 At least the actor is okay, but he looks nothing like zuko! They could have at least done his hair in a ponytail like Zuko first had it. And his scar is barely there!

SylarNight i agree with Amber132!!!! EWEWEWEWEWEWEEWEEWEW!!!!!! his scar should be darker, his hair in the ponytail, and he only has one eyebrow!!! >< i LOVE zuko. he's ruining him..!!!

allaboutmanga well, he does look a little alike...his scar needs to be a little darker...but it might and it is just the lighting? But, I can not wait to see the movie!

delzra technically i think zuko was like asian in the cartoon. i don't know why they wouldn't cast an asian martial artist as zuko tho. that would have made more sense. but aparently dev's really good at tae kwan do which is the main reason they cast him. edit: also i would rather see the part played well from an actor that slightly resembles the original than it played poorly from an actor that was cast solely for looks. ppl are soooo shallow.

Who else hated The Promise?

I know I did, and it's not just because of the Kataang like some people might assume of me, although that was just as if not plus awkward and annoying as i imagined, but what made me mad was how they just ruined the characters!
None of them acted themsevles if toi ask me. Especially Zuko but not just him, Katara too and Sokka and Suki and Mai. The only characters that didn't change completly were Aang and Toph.
I'm sorry guys I will always l’amour the Gaang and the original series, but if this what the new series would be like if they did a continutation instead then thank god they didn't because I literally can't stand this.
So, I'm just going to pretend this was just a dumbass fanfiction but some *insert various insults here preferably curses* who doesn't know ou respect any of the characters, and then I will just make up my own story about how Zuko and Aang built Republic City and be happy.

Zuko rolled over in his sleep. He saw his mother, mouth slightly curved into a smile that held a hint of sorrow. She turned away into the darkness, and the l’espace that she had just occupied was now filled with flame. It burned away at the darkness to reveal his father with filthy long hair and an expression that was hard to read; covered in anger and disgust. Now his own voice rang out, echoing back to him...
