Apparently today is Avatar's 10th anniversary...here have a fic!

In one an a person could accomplish much.
She had chosen to run away
Run away and not be found.

In two she mostly just stood alone.
Living only off of what the land would give her.
On most nights she was lonely.

The other three years became something of a blur as she counted them off. Everything seemed to be the same old thing. She didn’t know how she’d managed to go for five years all par herself in such a strange place.

She decided after those five years she was tired of being alone, hungry, and silently afraid. Decided that maybe five years was long enough for them to forget her face…and everything else she’d done. Perhaps she could make something of herself.

Something new.

Something different.

On an five she left her makeshift accueil in the Forgetful Valley.
Her cloths were tattered.
Her hair a mess.
She wouldn’t be recognized. She didn’t want to be recognized.

Azula didn’t really know what she’d do when she got back to Hira’a. She hadn’t any money. She hadn’t anything at all aside from her dirty, worn cloths. She was probably lucky to have even that.

On an six she had found herself a place to work.
The Hira’a theater seemed plus than happy to hire her.
It was the same one, she realized, that her mother had volunteered at.

On an six she decided that it didn’t matter as long as she had a place to stay and people to talk to. Up until an six Azula never really had a friend who had chosen to care for her without her having to bully them into the friendship. She never had a group of Friends that cared for her without her having to buy them expensive things.

They seemed to like her despite her lower class appearance. She thought back to an five when she still didn’t really have anyone to talk to. When she only showed up at the theater to make some money. She still didn’t talk much on an six, but that little group that called themselves her friends, they liked her anyhow. And when she did speak they seemed to listen…to care.

It helped ease the pain when she’d lie awake and long for home. For the times before she’d Lost it all.
None of them yet knew about that.
They knew she was sad.
They knew that her sadness is what kept her so quiet on most days.
But they didn’t really know how to make it better.
They still tried.

It was an seven that bought Azula some good fortune. There was one montrer they put on. She didn’t think it was that wonderful. But the crowd did; it was a sellout. Every time. This just so happened to be the montrer in which she got the main role.

Her closest friend, his name was Kang-Min, seemed to be the most excited for her. Azula enjoyed his company. He was the one who had managed to pull her out of what seemed like endless sadness. She probably shouldn’t pick favorites, but she liked him the most.

He kept her company. One night he followed her home. Up until an seven, accueil was in a rundown, abandoned shack. Instead of going back to his own cozy house he had chosen to spend the night with her. It was a cold night, he held her quite tightly to himself. Though they both still shivered, they were warm enough.

The suivant jour he bought her an assortment of things; new cloths, some food, a blanket, and some pillows. He gave her a small Kiss and a dit he’d see her at work.

an eight was a special year. par this time Azula had bought herself a rather nice home. A real home…one that wasn’t broken down and beaten. It was well furnished and warm. She had a nice closet, this closet was lined with an assortment of outfits.

She was plus than happy to invite her group of Friends inside. Kang seemed to be the most excited for her. She felt at her best when he was around. He was constantly telling her how impressive it was that she had hit rock bottom and picked herself back up on her own.

One night, when fortunes were particularly high, Azula had thrown a party. Naturally her first Friends had showed up. par the end of the night, most everyone in Hira’a had stopped par at least for a little bit. The party was for her birthday, but most people didn’t know that.

It didn’t really matter.

She was happier than she had been in a long time. Everyone seemed to be joyful.

It was on that same night she and Kang decided to escape the festivity for a while. They stood alone on her balcony. He had his arm around her—if her memory proved correct. They were looking off into the direction of the Forgetful Valley and up at the stars. For the most part they just held each other and took in the night. The smell of fruit carried par a balmy wind.

Eventually he smiled down at her. He told her it was amazing how much a person could change. She thought he was talking about how she’d gone from having nothing to all of what was around her. And then he informed her…admitted, that he used to think she’d never be anything but heartless and power hungry. Before she could say anything, he mentioned it took him a while to put two and two together—to recognize her.

She didn’t say anything. What was there to say?

He wished her a happy birthday and stated that he was proud of what she had done with herself. He didn’t seem to mind that she made him find out who she was on his own.

He took her hand in his—or maybe it was the other way around—and stood there with her a little longer…until a drunk Lin-Shi called her attention back to the party. She couldn’t exactly let the girl stumble back to her house unattended.

Azula didn’t think it could get any better than an nine.

an nine was when Kang introduced her to his parents. They took kindly to the idea of him getting friendly with the princess, even though it was a pretty empty titre at this point.

It was on an nine that she and Kang closed another montrer and decided to utilize their vacation days. Besides, it was someone else’s turn to get the starring role anyhow. Kang used these vacation days to take her to Ember Island.

They bickered for a few moments over whose house they’d stay in; her family’s old one ou his. They decided they’d alternate between the two.

an nine was when Azula lie down in the sand under a palm tree, waiting for Kang to get back from wherever he had gone. He came back around sun down and handed her a clam. She had never been so confused in her life…
Okay so that was a bit of an exaggeration, but she was pretty confused.

He had her pry the palourde open. Inside it was a little ring.

They married on that same plage a little over a mois later.

In the middle of an ten, Azula found herself holding twins; a boy and a girl. In the middle of an ten they were a family as opposed to just a married couple. Lin-Shi was excited for the party celebrating the birth of the twins.

an ten was an one for Lin-Shi; the girl had a lot she wanted to change about herself…starting with her drinking problem. Azula decided she’d help the girl. But first she had one last thing to settle.

par the end of an ten Azula was welcomed back accueil with warm arms. With hopes that an eleven would bring amends between she and her mother. And amends between she and Zuko…and maybe she and Ty-Lee.

Ten years.
Such a long time.
Ten years had changed the princess plus than she ever thought they would have.

Katara sat at her usual table, tableau with her usual friends. That much Jet could see. She never ate anything – like all of her Friends – and she laughed with that pale skinned freak of a boyfriend that she had. Jet had had a crush on Katara Waters since they were in the same class in 3rd grade. He had taken a liking to the tall, pretty...

October's Fan of the Month!!! :)
Another quick “congrats” to violet for the October fan of the Month. As for the month, I asked her questions through PM, and these are exactly how she answered them.
1.What is it that toi like best about Avatar: the Last Airbender?
I just really like the combination of humor and plot. In most shows, it either has to be really serious and dull ou completely idiotic, filled with stupid jokes. toi know? My favori scene in the series is when Azula goes insane- I know it's horrible, but I watch it over and over again.

2.You just got a million dollars. How would toi spend it?
Buy a dog. My...

Perhaps it's a little ridiculous to over think the reincarnation aspect of The Last Airbender, but something about the concept has always bothered me.
I'm not a new Avatar fan; I was introduced to the series about five years il y a when I was just discovered manga and anime. My Friends and I all enjoyed watching/talking about the show, and needless to say I became somewhat attached to the players. The montrer is so well done with great storylines, animation, dialogue, and characters, but has anyone ever wondered what reincarnation means for the friendships and l’amour interest of Aang's current life?...

"We're under attack!" Hakoda yelled to the village.
The men readied themselves for the fight. Aang grabbed his staff and ran out of the tent, Katara at his heels, holding Haruki. Aang turned around and stopped Katara.
"You and Haruki have to get out of here." he told her, "Get the old, the sick, and the young out of here on Appa."
"Aang, I won't leave you!" a dit Katara.
"I can't fight not knowing if you're safe," a dit Aang, hugging his wife and son, "Katara, please."
Katara looked at his eyes, kissed him, then ran off, collecting the children and old in the village. After she got all the children...

Hi, all! This is a sequel to "The Moments Ahead, Part 4: One Stormy Night," but toi don't need to read it to understand this story.

Aang and Katara lay on the grass, looking at the stars in the midnight blue sky.
"They're pretty, aren't they?" Katara asked, nuzzling Aang's neck.
He smiled at the girl he loved so much. "They sure are, but I have something even prettier in my arms," he said.
Katara smiled and they shared a deep, passionate kiss.
Aang smiled into the kiss.
The fiery liplocking lasted a full twenty seconds. It was the longest, and par far the most passionate, Kiss they had ever shared....

Okay, nobody's donné me any suggestions as to what I'm supposed to do. But that's okay. I've got some ideas of my own. If toi like angst, this story is for you.
Enjoy!

Tears stung Aang's eyes as blood trickled out of his body. He was dying. plus importantly, he was going to be taken away from his one true love.
"K-katara," he choked, "I'm scared."
"No, Aang...you'll be fine," she said, but her voice was full of worry.
Aang was crying full-force now. "I...I don't think I'm going to make it!" he cried.
"Yes, toi will," Katara said.
"Katara, I l’amour you..." Aang a dit weakly. Then, his eyes closed, and...

Katara went to lit early. But she didn't hear Aang's feet padding down the hallway to his room.

Wait a minute. Katara was sure she saw something in that last flash of lightning...and it sort of looked like...

"Aang?" Katara asked. "What on Earth are toi doing here...and why are toi shaking like a leaf?"

"I'm...afraid of storms," Aang confessed.

"Aang!" Katara cried. "Why didn't toi tell me...or anyone else for that matter? toi know that we're always here."

"That's exactly it!" Aang said. "I didn't want anyone else...

This is just around where my story begins
This is just around where my story begins
This is a warped version of the episode 'The Drill'. Note that I start the story near the end of the actual episode.

--------------------------------------------------

Azula picked Aang up and pinned him to the mur of Ba Sing Se. She grasp his should with her left hand, and with the other, produced a blue flame. Just as she was preparing to strike, Aang regained most of his consciousness.

His vision was blurred, but as it cleared, he could see, and feel the heat of the flame. He arched his fingers, and tried to grasp the wall, and preformed an Earthbending technique. Earth gathered and eclipsed...

This par far was the most epic episode I have seen in the entire series. Starting with Aang and Zuko's firebending training, right down to the final scene with Katara and Aang(nearly cried, but was clapping). It even seemed that Sokka's jokes were funnier! In my opinion, the best battle was Azula and Zuko's. The best moment was definetly a tie between Prince Zuko being introduced as the feu Lord and the Final scene with Katara and Aang(no spoiler). The most epic moment, definitvely was the scene when Aang was securing feu Lord Ozai and taking his bending skill away. Strangely, it can't be the end! Zuko met up with his father at the end to ask him about his ,supposedly dead, mother's whereabouts.

It had been a long time since they'd done anything as a family for the holidays. Zuko glanced over at an old family Christmas photo. It would be just he and his mom this year.

Katara, Aang and Sokka all had plans to go back to the water tribes and enjoy some good old fashioned snow. Who could blame them, what was Christmas without snow?

A feu Nation Christmas, he answered himself.

He couldn’t complain, couldn’t miss something that never was.

Toph...being the whimsical girl she was decided she was going to take her student metal benders out for some 'mandatory musical metalbending'...rather...
